Well i know i have been making alot of posts but this kinda startled me. Me and my friend were talking and i told him i screwed around with my trigger and can get it back the way i like it. So were talking about adjusting it and he mentions that there is suppose to be a spring somewhere in the trigger. Now i bought this gun used but is there suppose to be a spring in the trigger somewhere? If there is suppose to be one how can i replace it

i believe theres supposed to be a spring in it. i remember i wanted to work on the trigger myself and there was a spring but i decided not to and get a trigger job done and all they did was take out the spring. you can probly get a new one from the sponsors or take one out of a pen...my friend did that to his matrix and it rips.

The Angel IR3 was the last model to incorporate a return spring the triggers. So in addition to those models that had a leaf spring (the opto boards) it also had a return spring. The spring can be purchased from any of the sites sponsors if you simply contact them.

I just bought a used IR3 as well. There IS supposed to be a spring in the top of the trigger. My gun has had it removed as well. I used a pen spring to replace it, before reading this post, but it made it too tight for me. I don't know if the factory spring is lighter but the spring i used was to tight. If you like it loose, leave it out. If you want a tighter trigger pull a pen spring will definately do the job..........

haha i was right! thats a first. i didnt like the stock spring at all. too heavy. but im too lazy to pick up a relatively light spring so this will do for now.

hmm again i get confused. i thought opto boards only had the leaf spring. mine does not have a coil spring either and i got it used from someone i work with. this could explain why it's mad hard to maintain a steady rate of fire.. but looking at the trigger. theres no place for a spring to go.... confusion confusion
P.S. cyborg8767, where do you play? located?

LOL the standard 3 styla trigger has 2 holes on the top toward the rear of the trigger. The most rearward of those holes will have a grub screw sticking up out of it (this is used to set the trigger travel distance).
The hole that is not as far back is deep and has another grub screw sitting in the bottom of it. This deeper hole is where the standard spring sits or screws into. You dont need the spring at all, the leaf spring is hard enough already. Or if you are like me you dont have a leaf spring either. If you have an after market trigger it may not have this spring or a place for it to go.

NO BOUNCE just not steady. I just got a new trigger (blade type) need a step by step procidure to change trigger, anyone got one????

you need to first remove grub screw which is in one of the 3 trigger holes in the side of the frame. then you need to tap out the pin on the opposite side the screw was in. next remove the trigger frame and the trigger should come out un the upwards direction. hope this helps, anyone feel free to correct me. or do a search in this forum im sure you will find a good set of instrcutions.
