View Full Version : Jam bolt or Fly conversion?

Well, I gave up on Sensi. My sensi pad came screwed up from the factory so I bought a new one and it only lasted 2 weeks.

I could afford the Fly conversion but let's just say I would not be living large for the rest of the month. Since money is slightly tight, I thought I might get a Jam bolt instead. What do you guys think? Any reason I should get the fly conversion over the jam bolt? Please don't just tell me to get the fly conversion. I need reasons why it is better than the Jam bolt.

Thanks

the jam bolt is SUPPOSE to prevent chopping..and the eyes STOP chopping.....

i would go with the fly conversion if you have the money...

The JAM bolt would be a great stop-gap until you could get the Fly mod. I've used them in 'cockers in the past, and they work rather well. I also have one in on test, and a review should be coming soon.

I guess if we go by the numbers, the fly conversion has a higher BPS rating compared to buying a JAM bolt and turning off my Sensi. However, my Halo B can only feed a little over 20 BPS anyways. I have not heard of any problems with JAM bolt not keeping up with +20 BPS so I will probably be alright with the JAM bolt option for now. Does that make sense?

I am using the JAM Bolt currently and like it in my Speed. My SENSI seems to be working currently, but I did replace the sensor once now. I'd love to get the conversion also, but I would have to agree with you on the money thing...

The flipside to ckyxx87xx's comment is that in my opinion chopping in itself is a mechanical problem... This bolt compensates for the mechanical flaw therefore solving chopping right at the root of the problem itself. The only down side to this is the fact that if your SENSI isn't working, you won't want to have it turned on. This means that you are going to be capped at 22 BPS max with it off.

well with the jam bolt there is still a chance of chopping...and due to the nature of how the bolt works...it could reduce ur rof, with the eyes it completely eliminates chops and maximizes ur rof to however fast ur loader is, if u were u id just wait on it till u get in the comfort zone of ur financial situation then get the fly conversion.

with the Fly conversion you also get a new board, wich gives you higher bps than the stock A4s...also ive heard from everyone ive heard from the eyes stop jamming for good anyway, ide go for the fly conversion, then when you get a lil more $$$ go for the new bolt...its like a condum, youd rather not need it and have it...than need one an not...

I'd go fly simply because you are getting a whole new board. Your basically making yoru gun brand new with new features, faster rate of fires, and best of all Beam break EYES. Honestly, with the Jam bolt, your going to have to live like an angel LCD. since sensi is the biggest pos on the planet. Whats the point of trusting your marker with a bolt. I'd just make the investment now, turn your gun into a sick gazzling machine.

whoa whoa whoa... sensi was a great system... it was just more vulnerable since it could be physicially broken if not cared for properly (stick squeegie down the breech...) but sensi worked great for me... problem is msot people didnt take the time to learn about their gun...they just wanted to flip the switch and go...

I have to disagree with you jetwing. I myself owned an angel speed back when they first came out. I read all about it , and kept on having the sensi break down on me (when i wasnt chopping).

My teammate bought an a4 brand new for 1600 dollars canadian when they first came out. He knows everythign about angels, and he has had his sensi snap on him 4 times.

Sensi is a very poor system

Sensi is hit and miss to people who do know how to use their markers.

Sensi worked great for me when i calibrated it. If you arent going to miss $400 missing from your bank account go for then go for FLY mod. I would get a Victory boarded halo only because its no where near as expensive as the FLY mod and it should eliminate chopping alltogether because it will feed at around 35 bps which is plenty of bps to theoretically eliminate chopping.

jsut because u had bad experiences with it doesnt mean its a poor system, i aint tryin to stir tension but i just feel u are generalizing too much, if sensi was that poor wdp wouldnt have came out with it in the first place, i know countless people who love there sensi, the only problem i could think of is sometimes straight out of the box the sensi rob would stick into the breech too much which could cause problems...but nothing a little sanding couldnt fix.

Im not the only one that has had problems with sensi. Go onto PBNation, ask countless angel owners. When I own a marker, I treat it like GOD. My friend bought a 1600 dolalr a4 when they first came out, you think hes not going to read about and learn about sensi? your wrong.

I find it fiunny when you say " if sensi was that poor wdp wouldnt have came out with it in the first place", the fact of the matter is, It is that poor, which is why they finally smartened up and released eyes.

And just because you know countless people that love there sensi, doesnt mean anything really. Countless people love their angels, when they buy them brand new in a box, just as i did and my friend. But when you have to buy a 40 dollar sensi every 2 -3 times you practice, your mind changes quickly. Its not like you see pro's using angel speeds or a4's with sensi anymore. When your into tourney ball (not saying your not),you need the best, and you cant have a faulty system such as sensi.

And im not bashing angels either. Im probably going to buy a gloss black a4. I think angels are dead sexy, however the a4 i buy is going to get ace asap. Because sensi doenst cut it in the real world. Maybe in the recballing world

wait... so ur saying... if there are a bunch of people who are not satisfied that means something...but if a bunch of people ARE satisfied with sensi then that doesnt mean anything?

I have had my Angel 4 for like 4 wonths, the sensi came broke and I emailed WDP and they sent me a new one in like 5 days and I haven't had one problem with it sense and I play 3-4 times a week.

Well dont you think if lets say half the people who own angels (a4s , speeds) are dissattisfied, then there is a problem? and bottom line is beam break is much more advanced, which is why wdp finally came up with it for the fly

i use a jam blot in my speed , and i have yet to chop one ball

i think the eyes definitly have to be better though
but if it aint broke ,dont fix it
till i have a problem in not upgrading

Id say just get it Flied without a doubt. More money but since I had my Force 4 done I have not chopped a single ball period! And thats from shooting over 10k balls at least. Ive said it before....Hands down the best investment you will ever make for a Angel.
