Greatest ROF

I am wondering if anybody knows how to acheive the greatest ROF with there own personal settings. If you get Ramp or if you are able to get 18-24BPS please list your settings below. I am getting about 15-18BPS. I also have the new software version LP3.3 installed by Impact Paintball This is how i have my Joy Division Fly set up right now:

Hopper SFAST (I am using a Halo w/zcode not victory)

Dwell 10
TR 15
And i put about 43000 shots through it so its been broken in.
Please someone tell me how to get this without BOUNCE but i would not mind ramp actually i would rather have ramp. :confused: :notsure: :hititraw:

well... without bounce you wont get 18-24bps...

For me, a TR setting of 14 works nice. It allows me to zing nice 18bps streams, but it doesn't have any noticable ramping, even though there are a few extra shots up there. Thats all I feel I need for tournys.

Solar unless you got slow fingers or a long trigger pull with your TR that high you should be able to hit 24 no probs. I got my mrof set at 25 and can pull 24 without air. So maybe you need some adjustments to make it ripp with your style of pulling the trigger.

Dang, your guys have such high trs. I have to set mine at like 3 and i still get some occasional bounce like 4 shots more. My trigger is too light(magnetic mode).

One other question, do you all have the volumizer installed for these settings? I am having a tough time getting over 15 bps.

yeah i see a huge difference in 24 bps with dry firing ( eyes off) and 24 bps with paint (eyes on of course)

for some reason if i raise my dwell anything over like 11ms, my rof instantly drops below 17bps on the display with paint. i know dwell has an effect on rof, but i assumed it was maybe 1-2 bps tops, not 6+ bps drop in rof.this is also the case with my boss's Fly a4, lp 3.4

I'm wondering if the lengthened dwell time has a major effect in the scanning of trigger pulls per second, as if its filtering shots rather than letting them go because the following sequences have not occured in the firing cycle at the time the trigger is pulled again.

Yes it is actually 43000 shots i play like twice a week and i was the first person to buy the fly from impact paintball when they got them in so yea i have had mine for a while.

Besides i probablly have more shots on it then that cause like a month and a half into Jim from Impact reseted my counter back to 0. so yea its been broken in :hititraw:

Like mentioned earlier on, i cant believe how high you guys have your TR. My fly is insane fast @ TR1, no bounce nor ramping..

Dude you arent gonne get much more BPS unless you induce more bounce. Isnt the fly's setting with MORE tr = MORE bounce? The a4 is the opposite...

i got mode 1 dwell 12 and tr 12 and im hitting 24-25 bps w/ hopper sfast and A1.0

Do you all have a volumizer installed with these settings? I am hurting on the BPS, hit a sad 12 bps today at air ball field today.

amoz, with or without a volumizer you should be able to hit higher rof, its only provides a lower input pressure to reach the same velocity. velocity = pressure X volume, increasing the volume allows the pressure to be lowered which propels the ball out the barrel.

what are your settings for your gun, loader used, etc?

I get 22-25 bps w/ v35 Halo B set on 6.

Pull is set at 1mm before the end of the pull. Just had tourney here in Hawaii and regardless of what they did, I go no bounce maybe an occational ramp...
Any other settings that has to do with the loader, besides the above, does not apply unless you have an intellifeed setup. It's clocked in 14000 cycles but it has had over 30000 cycles before the conversion, totaling about 44000 cycles, so its well broken in. :blasting:

Honestly this thread is kind of silly. We already know that the best settings are dwell of 11, and TR of 12, LPR at ~50-55psi.

Some people don't know, but a pressure of 300psi from the tank makes it rip mega fast.

(oh before I go further, 24-25bps with a halo, on many different guns).

Now why I say its silly, is that the FLY is limited by the HOPPER. If your hopper is slow, so is your gun. Did everyone see the video of Russ doing 30bps? Thats cause he modified a hopper to feed faster, allowing the gun to shoot faster...

how is it that you can have your dwell at 11 and lower, i have mine at 15 and i still get first shot drop off really bad, and my pressure jumps around all over the place?

totally illegal settings...i hit 27 with a v35 halo...how i usually set the guns up 17-18...

i got a stock speed hitting 17 with a revi =]...im gonna put a video up on of these days...

tr3 and got 21bps........gettin used to the feel of the trigger, coming from an otb frame magno trigger, its a little bit different, but i can get 16bps with like, tr18(this is an a4) I dunno, ive only got an egg, so outshooting it is no prob whatsoever anyways, so until i get a halo b, guess theres no need to worry about 24bps.

When I first got my fly, i had the tr on 1, and thought that was the highest bounce factor, but left it there because it wasnt bouncing much, and was still fast. Then I heard tr22 was highest, so i messed around with it at the chrono station............it was unbelievable. People were coming over to see what was going on because it sounded like a chain saw. Even on 1 (MT magnet trigger mod) it was bouncing a little. for me anything over 5, the gun goes NUTS and is not legal at all.
