The price we quote is based on the exchange of your old board:

Angel A4: $299.00 USD with the exchange of your old A4 board. With this you receive all the parts I listed above. All guns will be tested before installing the conversion kit and any defective parts replaced will be extra. We will contact each customer on an individual basis if this happens.

....put it in perspective, when you replace your car battery there is a 'core charge', your old battery, which lowers the price of the new one. If you want to keep the old battery, the price goes up...because the company can't recover some of the cost via recycling the old battery.

...search around on the I'net, replacement boards average about $200... the other $99 dollars is basically covering all the incidential parts and supplies to complete the conversion as well as the techs expertise and labor (which is intensive really, especially the disassembly, preparation, milling, drilling, installation, testing and final detailing)...

..Go ahead, price it out for the individual parts and use a realistic rate for "technical and mechanical expertise" labor rates...

You're getting a BARGAIN at $299.

In the trade of IT, $200 per hour or any part thereof (2 minutes = $200) is what it will cost you for an IT company to even look at your IT problems, wether they accept the job or not...

...smart companies look for ways to lower the cost to their customers as well as themself, this 'exchange program' is one way, but the customer DOES NOT have to accept it, they can go shop elsewhere....nor is the company obligated to even offer such an attractive alternative.

If you think you're getting ripped off, buy all the parts necessary for the conversion, then get a quote from a MT to do all the labor work...if it's cheaper go that route, if not...well, you chose.

Hit it right on the head. Core charge is a very good example, as well.

ok heres the reason.when we negeoitated the pricing with wdp on providing you the consumer an eye system, we had 3 things in mind. 1 provide a service to you at a reasonable price. 2 make some money and 3 provide the best eye system to people that bought speeds and a4s after we (wdp) went to the eye q system.
for those of you that dont know wdp has the most advanced and expencive electronics in the paintball world.we sat with wdp and worked the best deal that was benificial to you the customer.we didnt choose a 25.00 board and 6.00 reflective eye ribbon with bird crap to hold it on.we spent hour after hour enginering this eye system to fit the already manufactured gun and came up with what what we have.the pricing of the fly board would cost you almost what the whole job cost need you order one so be happy with what we have done.i dont mean to seem sarcastic but from some of the comments it was due in my mind....

They can offer the kit for 299 because they factor in the money they make off of reselling your old board.

For 299 you are getting an aweful lot, I know because I have seen first hand the work that goes into converting a gun.

Its supposed to take 4 hours. Thats not much if you can sit down and work on ONE GUN for four hours straight. When you factor in that you are trying to do 5 guns at a time, there are still orders coming in and people phoning.

Thats just the time. The workmanship that goes in is outstanding. There is not a single toolmark left on the gun. Each gun is completely stripped, handmarked and milled, and reassembled. Every inch of the gun is gone over, the gun is tuned and paint is fired through it over a chrono to make sure it is 100% before it goes it.

You just can't beat it!

i dont think the MT re sell your board and keep all the profit for them selves. In all honesty how many people buy boards? No many since they dont break unless its customer error or a warranty issue. there is no market for used boards. Mtstake the old boards to lower cost. Like stated before if u want to keep your old board i bet the cost would be alot more.
