i have A.I.R and i am new to it, do i need to have battery's/battery in my reg to fill it and use it?

Yes, you need battery to display tank info.

You don't need batteries as long as the fill station has a gauge. I highly recommend that you install fresh batteries ($3-4) so you can know exactly how much pressure is in the tank rather than rely on the fill station. Also, the reg can tell you the exact output pressure too.

You can fill it without batteries, but after that what do you do? You will need the batteries to tell you the output of the tank and without that it's useless. You won't know if your pressure is to high or low. The easiest thing to do is go out and get 2 batteries from Radio Shack so you won't need to worry about anything. Also if you want to use the shot counter you will need the batteries in before you fill.

okay, thanks guys i was just wondering cause i think my batteries are gettin low and i need to replace them, now i know were to get them at. I forgot about haveing to adjust my op.

Yep. CR2032; it's a standard size watch battery.
