I've actually watched a considerable amount (or at least listened to it in the background). The woman likes to watch it at night when we're laying in bed so I've seen a lot of that too. Some of the things are just repetitive and boring...sorry even as a track star in High School I can still only watch so many people run the 100m before I'm bored even the 400m more than a couple of times is too much...and don't get me started on some of the longer races. The Decathlon is cool, and I wish they'd show more of it. There are a lot of other events that you just don't see getting any coverage (especially here in the US) until there is an American making a push for a medal and I'm not to thrilled about that, but since I don't run NBC there's not much I can do about it.

The swimming coverage was good, but typically dominate fairly well in the swimming so that's why.

The gymnastics is sort of the same. The women typically put up a good team for the overall, and of course the network knows that girls in tight clothing attracts attention.

There are a lot of other "smaller" events that have more strategy in them etc. Heck I would've liked to have watched the rowing comps, that has always interested me. Rowing is one of the only sports in the world where there is a spring in the beginning, 1 or more sprints in the middle, and then a HUGE sprint at the end. It's fun to watch.

There's many more, but I'm not gonna keep going on this tirade.

For some of the other events that aren't as popular as track, gymnastics and such, they were on MSNBC. Bravo also had some stuff on reruns during the day.

Yep...I've caught some Bravo (water polo) and MSNBC stuff.

Heck USA had one of the Basketball games on.

If you watch it at very odd hours, they've shown just about every event, shooting was the most boring thing to watch by far. Table tennis was pretty sweet, beach volleyball and even indoor has been pretty entertaining, of course beach is far better because the woman are in binkinis, did anyone see the norwegian woman? wow.

Volleyball has always been one of my favorites, I've been playing since I was young but blowing out my knee turned that idea off as well:sad:

I will watch either Beach, both are equally exciting. However I really don't like watching the women's indoor. It is terribly boring in comparison to the men's.

Your somewhat right about the womans indoor, but after watching about 6-7 years of high school / college womans volleyball (long story), its still a lot faster than those two. Its nothing compared to the mens though

speaking of that, its that time of year again, nothing like spending a few hours around a bunch of woman in spandex.
