Hey guys, I was at cobra preaching my mind about Angel AIR. Well one thing that the guy told me was that before you refill you have to drain the tank every time you wanna refill it or top it off??? WTF is all that about? Is this true????

One of the guys at cobra said this. I asked what are the pros and cons of having Angel AIR... He showed my all there guns, they all had armageddons. But hes the one who said that AIR is not a good buy.

The Cobra guys do sell the Angel Air, I bought both of mine there. As I talked with them about my concerns after purchasing the air they explained that because of a design issue the air has a chance to vent the output pressure when a certain O-ring breaks down. I personally had one AIR for 2 years and the other for over a year. I never had a single problem with either. I traded one of my teammates my 68 AIR for his 68 Geddon. On the Martha (my Backup) I wanted a gun that was as solid as I could get it. Cobra told me the design of the geddon is more reliable because as was stated they are wdp and AA certified so they see both regs in for repairs. My Air on my other gun has never gone down once..... until it was in Cobra on my gun for another gun problem (battery) they said they had to rebuild the reg because it vented.
So to sum up, the AIR is reliable and consistent and I have never had a problem with mine while I was using it. Cobra, which understands the tournament side of paintball better than many other shops, suggests that for the most reliable air system the Armageddon has been the most reliable system the have seen and that's what they use.

So then why do all the pros use AIR? Is it cuz there sponsor is WDP there for they have to? Cuz i have heard ALOT of negative stuff about ANGEL AIR... To tell you the truth, Its making me very undescisive about getting one... I wish i could try one out for like a month, then decide weather or not i like it. Cuz im guessing its all personal preference huh...

The AIR is an extremely advanced and forward thinking design. LOTS of them are out there. Hence, with sheer numbers comes the higher probability of things going wrong. Also, you will always hear the bad, and not the good. I think that in terms of percentages the AIR is still probably the best tank out there. I'd rank the Max-Flow second, Armageddon tied, Centerflag a small notch below. From there, all the rest are pretty much the same.
