i got back from the field today and it wasnt that great. i choped like crazy i had like two or three a game. they were usually in the breech but twice the bolt got stuck foreward from paint shell getting inbetween the bolt and body. my sensi is passing all the tests.

Check your ball detents and ram, make sure that your detents are tight and your ram is properly adjusted. What king of hopper are you using?

As I understand it, the hammer needs to be seated so that just barely pushes the bolt forward when you close the breach. If it is too far back, the hammer sort of hits the bolt pin and causes a bad impact on the ball. I'm just learning about angels, so don't take my word for it.

on mine, the breech falls into place perfectly without any click. I DONT chop.

a ram is properly adjusted when you close the breech and you can feel the bolt pin clicking into the hammer

i think the ram is fine. when i put the bolt in the pin hits the edge furthest from the front and moves the bolt in a tiny bit. when i put balls down the feed tube the one on the bottom rolls back. also if i look down through the barrel i can see a fraction of the ball above the first one. i dont know if thats normal.
any other ideas?

Yeah, I have the same thing, so does my friend. I appear to be breaking paint all the time, he never does. Not sure about that one.

if ur using a revvy then i suggest using semi 1 or 3 cuz on those modes ur gun will not fire faster then 1 bps if no ball is present... and u should also calibrate ur sensi if u dont already do so

it chopped during the calabration time. so i turned off the gun and redid the calabration again but it still choped. ill try changing the mode though.

You chopped during the calibration? That's a bit odd. Were you just doing it at 1bps?

i know this thread is old....but tubes i have the exact same problem as you. My ball rolls back a bit and then the 2nd ball can be seen a bit. Im using a egg.. but im just wondering did you ever fix the problem and how?

Ive had chopping problems the last few weeks and i finally got it sorted out by moving my ram up. What was happening is that there were like one and a half balls in the chamber and the bolt was chopping the second ball. The first ball was rolling back towards the bolt far enough so that part of a second ball could fit in. All you have to do is move your ram up far enough that the ball cant roll back enough to let in the second ball. This should be just enough to still let you open the breach, but not by much- the hammer will push the bolt forward a very small bit and that should solve the chopping problem.

thanks, i moved up the ram to the point where its kind of hard to get the breech open and when i close it the bolt snaps into place. The 2nd ball is less seen now...so hopefull this will fix my problems. :D

also, if u in cold weather, turn ur inline WAY down and the dwell way up. i had mad chopping in like 20* weather and then did that and the next weekend it worked just fine. so right now my gun runs around 180 and dwell at 18 without any chops. might i say that my gun is the most reliable at the field also, but people still trash angels...
