I'm totally new to the sport, and I've already bought my first marker. Needless to say it was in the sub $200 range. The more I've learned and experienced, the more I've been impressed with WDP. I've been looking thru forums and ebay for a good deal. I've seen a few, but I don't really know what I need to be asking the seller about possible problems the marker may have. I'm sure since these markers are so advanced, that if they have any problems it probably is very expensive to repair them. I'm really looking for advice on what I may need to be looking for. I'm good at working on things whether they're mechanical or electrical, so I'm hoping to be able to do all the servicing myself. Is that far fetched? Any suggestions or deals you may have would be appreciated. Thanks.........

no way. Dont go and get an angel. They are too complicated for a newb, and dont let ur ego get in the way either.

Please remember that we were all noobs to Angels when we 1st got them. There's nothing wrong with getting an Angel. There are plenty of members on the boards that have Angels as a 1st or 2nd marker. Encourage people to expand and grow, don't discourage them. What if people told you to never get one, what would you be shooting now? Think about the missed oppurtunity and how fun your Angel has been and will continue to be.
I applaud wbrentw for asking the questions that he's asking. I think it's the correct way of going about anything. Doing research before buying any kind of product is important and that what he's doing.
I say that you read the online manual(s), browse the forums, and talk to people who own them. Can't forget to mention shoot a few different ones if you can. Then make a choice. Angels are easy to maintain and most people can easily work on them with basic knowledge. There is also a wealth of info here on the boards if you have any problems, along with the knowledge and support of the MT's if you need to send it in for repair.
If you really want an Angel, go for it, you won't regret it. I say start of with a LCD or Speed, just my $.02

Yes. I would put knowledge into what you are buying. Angels are kinda difficult to take care of, and i dont want one sitting in a closet forever.
Its ur choice, just be careful. Angels are the best guns out there, and i got one for my second gun. Still, i had 3 months of studing b4 i bought one.
good luck!

Thanks for all the input guys. I'm a 26 yr old who makes my own money, therfore mommy's not buying this gun for me. I just tend to prefer the best in anything I get involved with, and Angel's have appeared to be the best from what I've seen. I actually made a commitment last night on a DArk ANgel IR3 for a really good price. You guys got any input on whether this is a troublesome gun or what? Also the owner says the ball counter doesn't work, sound fishy? Let me know. Thanks for the fast replies!!!!!
