Im sick of all these kids saying that their spyders are the same thing as angels, its just the angels look better. They make me so mad! I have to maintain my posure tho, so i dont make angel guys look bad. It puts so much stress on us, and they have never shot an Angel, so they dont know what they are talking about.

same just bunch of the spyder fellas ask me to shoot off a few balls in the chrono (which of course i let them do) and when i feel in the mood for a good day at the rec field and the ocasional kid comes up i let him use it a game or two...and i take the spyder, it brings me back to the old days...

I've had that happen a few times when i had my ir3..except it was this HUGE guy with an e99.. lol I showed him which gun was better.. he was making fun of my gun and telling all these noobs and there parents that mine just looks better.. we went 1 on 1 on speedball.... He didn't even stand up the whole 10 seconds the game lasted

ok angelboi....judging from what you were saying on pbreview, you dont deserve any praise or even recodnition for your opinions...being that you completely have contradicted your statements from there to here

a spyder does have the capability to statistically perform similar to an angel, but the system used to fire the ball is not the same...i have seen ultra fast and consistant spyders (+/- 2fps) in the hands of people that have skill that will blow your mind....you have to remember that people like what THEY like, and in most cases it varies widely from person to person...and the game does not revolve around the gun, but rather the player. most competitive stock players can take on semi users in a 2, or even 3 against one, and win...do thier guns shoot 31bps, no...do they use the fanciest new nitro tank and reg, noo (they still use 12g co2, yeah remember those)...it's not the gun that makes the player, it's the player that makes the game and the gun that supports the player...many people here still need to learn that, including you.

i'm not going to explain to you how a spyder can perform equal to the angel/timmy/[insert marker name here], the people on pbreview already did that...you just refused to listen to them.

I can somewhat agree on what you said mambe to a point. If you can lay more paint out there than you can hold down more of the opositions which technically means you can move more without being hit and all things considered. An Angel isnt gonna take a crappy player and turn them into Gods but if they can now shoot more that in itself will give them more ability/guts to cover a field and move more. Its all taken in stride though. Its like having a upper hand if you got it use it and if you dont you will just hold.

A nice gun is a confidence boost if you ask me. When I got my first LCD the very first game I shot 5 ppl and moved around the field like crazy all bc I thought i Had the shiznit and it worked and thats why I shoot angels and thats why alotta people fear angels. Hep makes a really good poitn also.

you are somewhat correct on the "lay some paint" argument, i would think that it works best in a team situation of people that you dont know personally, instead of in a one-on-one or with a team that has enough confidence in each other that they dont need to dump all they have.

but let's take it from the opposite end of the ROF level...the local stock/pump players snap shoot whenever and wherever, be it in a direct line of fire or another situation...dont get me wrong ROF is an important part of modern paintball, but yet how is it that the top players from the stock/pump bracket can annihilate just about any other team there is...with nothing but a phantom/carter, 10 round spring fed loader, and some 12 grams? it sure as heck cant be the gun that's doing it.

nothing against the semi world, but a lot of the stock class game i watch are much more intense then seeing 2000 rounds of paint dumped into 3 bunkers...there's a lot more movement going on, reaction and communication are on the next level...since i've started playing it myself, i have much more confidence in myself then i did when i dumped 7 pods a game...i've seen my ability to move and communicate boost, along with people not dissing each other's guns constantly saying "this one's crap, get this"

dont get me wrong i love dumping paint everywhere, but yet i love the "cat and mouse" approach of pump play even more...it teaches you that you dont have to have ROF to win a game, no matter who your up against...it focuses more on the skill of the player then how much paint they can throw everywhere, hoping to hit someone or at least keep them down...it's a whole different experience that some people may like better, and others may not.


sorry to take this thread off-topic...i just thought i'd share my feeling on a different aspect of the sport that most people havent even thought of trying.

Obviously, you need to let them shoot your Angel over at the shooting range/chrony. That quiets them down real quick.
