Ive just bought a fly Is it advisable to use these settings Immediatly, (its just out the box an hour ago) or should there be any kind of breaking in period -I know Ken states that you can start to lower the lpr etc after breaking in but I just want to confirm this as i mucked about with my a4 settings a little too early and i dont want to do this again ,can i also assume that i will need to borrow the mini reg from my a4 to test the pressure input to the gun.
I want to get the volumizer on but after checking the lpr on the a4 it was at 60 stock when the manual stated it would be at 82 (as does the fly manual) I have the correct tools to change the settings i just dont want to cause myself problems before i start
thanks for your time

leave it alone...put the volumiser on and go play. I haven't changed a single thing on my Fly since I got it.

Ken told me on the phone that you can adjust the LPR out of the box. But that seemed kind of weird so I never did it untill after a few cases.

...although there have been a multitude of recommendations, I'd suggest you do as Emmit advised, just play with it as is for now. The goal when making adjustments is to first increase the RELIABILITY of the markers operation. If it goes phhhttt when you pull the trigger it is just a 'good looking paper-weight' ;)....
If you are looking to change the operating characteristics, you have to take into account the various influences the individual components have on the overall effect, i.e., tank type (hi/lo, flow/recharge rate), regulator consistency/efficiency, etc., etc. ad infinitium....
Trust in the manufacturers R&D that they poured into the markers production...it will cover 90% or better of the typical (and some not so typical) situations you will encounter. Don't get caught up in the 'gadget-tude' fantasy...

i dont really want to change the settings although i do want to run the marker with the volumizer and as i understand it(or do I?) if your going to change the operating pressure you have to balance it out with lpr settings/dwell etc.But If its possible to use the volumizer without changing anything else from stock on the fly then thats excellent,I assumed its factory tuned with the volumizer its just that it doesn't come attached to the marker and I wasnt sure if this was just to save on packaging costs (i.e same box as the a4) or what.
cheers
