i've had a number of people tell me the AIR is the best reg out there, and an equal tell me the air sucks and is the most inconsistant thing since any thing, out there is the air inconsistant?

airs are great and are very consistant the only reason people say they suck is because they cost so much

What do you mean "flash fills"? What happens to the air when you get a "flash fill"?

I love my air! I go +/- 2 over the chrono all the time.

i have only heard of people using A.I.R. tanks on guns other than angels having problems with consistency. all angel owners i know using A.I.R.'s have no problems. could it be that the angel reg is that much better than other regs and so any consistency problems are masked by the angel itself ?????

Jason...

Are you saying that you need to do all three steps? Or will the Cobra restrictor eliminate having to lower the pressure and to fill still having 1000psi?

I know many people that have the AIR on other guns and have mad consistency.. so the rule of AIR only working on an Angel is false.

This won't explain the consistency you get from single regging an a.i.r. with a LCD or IR3.

I think part of the problem people have with consistency is inadequate maintenance of their gun, reg or HPA system. Somehow I don't think WDP would be selling it if it was junk.

The AIR is an excellent system.
I have two problems with it:

1) it is a little heavier than its closest competitor, which I consider to be the Maxflow.

2) the flash-fill problem is very real. I usually take great care when filling my AIR. Went a long time without a problem. However, I was recently at a tourney when it happened to me. Yes there are steps around it. Yes, the fill method is partially at fault (you shouldn't flash fill ANY tank). However, its still a major pain in the ass.
