We got nothing more than light rain...but it was scary there for a few hours. Thoughts and Prayers to Ft. Myers and Punta Gorda....

yes alot of people are still without power as of now. Thank the almighty GOD that our power didnt go out. I was basically on the net most of the time while I was stuck in my house.

i'll probably be making a trip down there to help with clean up and rebuilding under a contractor (stepdad's brother), heck...for $500 a day how can you go wrong, even if it is hard work?

I'm glad that everything with Frances is all done and over with. Ended up not wanting to spend that time at my place in West Palm Beach, so my girlfriend, all of the critters, and I drove up to my Aunt's place in Clermont to wait the storm out with them. Got back into town last night. Have power and water, but like 300,000 people in Palm Beach County still don't. Appears to mostly just be landscaping damage, but it is kind of weird seeing palm trees and large magnolia trees snapped in half or cracked down the middle. With any luck the crews will be able to get most of that loose debris out of the way before Ivan pays us a visit.

welp, looks like ivan decided to take a trip further up north and missed us pretty much completely :)

hope it doesnt decide to follow in frances's tracks for you guys' sakes
