Opto sensor cleaning

Do the Opto sensors need to be cleaned of any dust or anything?

if they get really dirty...ie paint, or dirt/sand etc then they won't function properly...use of a can of compressed air works great (or just get a nice long hose on your air system and turn it on, it'll blow all the debris out)

What about a Q-tip for simple dusting, if you have the board out?
