Does anyone else sit close enough to someone at work who is so annoying and on the phone constantly ... she has this voice thats annoying as hell, and is dumb as a box of rocks, and tends to think she needs to yell or talk as loud as possible at all times. She makes me want to shoot myself in the face.

Also i have headphones on w/ music up very loud and still can hear her.

I sat next to a programmer at my last job who was Taiwainese, and every afternoon he used to sing lullabye songs to his son in his native tongue. When I started at my current company, I sat next to a girl who was from IRAN, and her nationality was Asyrian. Every day it was ' hea hea hea ' as she replied to her mothers questions. This drove me up a wall.
The most annoying are people that jump on a conference call, and they have their phone speakers on, and never use their headsets. When you have 2 people on the same call and they sit within 2 cubicles of each other, the call echo's all over the floor.

this lady today so far has been on hte phone for about 2 of the 3 hours i've been here, i thought she was talking to someone, well she was leaving a message on someones machine for like 5 minutes, i feel so bad for that guy who is going to have this huge rant in a voice that will make your ears bleed. Oh hten she realised she screwed up and called him back and left another short message.

Yep, office space was the first thing I thought of.
My shop has been accused of driving people crazy, literally. We've had people get commited and point the finger at us. Guess we're just a bunch of buttholes. But hey, what can you say when people cry when you ask them to do their job.....

And our printer is old enough to randomly corrupt its print job, and start printing pages with one line of gibberish at the top. Lots of pages. You have to turn it off to clear it out, and I swear they purposely designed this thing to not have half fed paper removed easily. It rips into peices, then you have to fish all thepieces out, or it'll really jam up.
Relally gets annoying when you're printing out massive amounts to prepare for an upcoming maintenance review. Then there's the fact that everybody wants everything at once, with tech reps on one side trying to get equipment safety tagged and an aloft chit run, people asking me how to do things that are in their job descriptiopn, not mine, and my boss calling and asking for a status on half a dozen things. And half my people are supporting the ship in surface line week, and we have to supply bodies to working parties, and another ship is stealing two of my people so they can pass insurv.
ahem.....whew......anyone else have a long day today?
Ah well, two more weeks and all this training/inspection crap will be over and I be relaxing. :cry: :cry: :microwave :cheers:

heres what work had in store for me today - my boss wanted me to clean up this god awful image that just needed completely remade and i dont really have the time or patience to actually redo it for him, so this is what i did to it and sent it back.
