This is a scary thought that I wish you had not filled my minds eye with...I've seen Dale in person and the thought of him and stiff nipples is somewhat disturbing to say the least.

Okay....it shoots like a dream...pulled 24bps with the eyes off. Very smooth. Here are the pics!
Pics in action this coming weekend...the gun's first real playing experience will be at a local tournement...hehehe...

Alrighty then...I got the gun in today, went up to the shizop and set it up...Kurt was nauseated by the trigger job, so he tweaked it a little bit. Kurt (Airsmith and part owner of the shop with me and Bryan) has played paintball with me for years and knows precisely how I like my trigger set up. All he really needed to do was adjust the toe a bit.
I'm going to have to adjust the TR (bounce) a bit, (It's at 19 currently) since it's WAY too high right now...I put some paint through it a few minutes ago, and it ran away on me...at 26bps. Fear not, I'll have it legal by this weekend.
NOTE: Even at 26bps, I didn't chop one ball. And, since it's running superior Centerflag Products Regulators, it didn't shoot down either.
And finally, I want to publically thank Russ, Ken and all the other Master Techs again for supporting me and doing what they've done...I'm speechless at the moment on how to describe the way the gun feels...it's an evil piece of art. I ought to send the pictures to Adrenalin and tell 'em that their former 1 of 15 Angel is now a 1 of a kind unholy screaming monster.

As soon as my video camera gets back (It's in OK with my wife at the moment) I'll do a video of a standard LCD (RgMekanic's) being shot by me, then grab Prototype #2 and let loose with it. I finally got it under control this evening...the TR is at 5 now, and it's making my V35'd HALO beg for mercy. Even Kurt (Airsmith/business partner/mid player) can shoot it fast, and he's a deliberately slow shooter. He's also not impressed very easily...and this gun impresses him. He ripped off a burst at 20+ bps and handed it back to me shaking his head...."Evil" was all he had to say. There are going to be some confused individuals this weekend at this little tournement that I'm playing at....

is he doing it for everyon already including the halo thingy ??

08-06-2004, 03:37 PM
the intellifeed halo isn't out yet(at least to my knowledge) nor is it listed in what you get with the retro job. but I'm sure when they're ready to release the intellifeed halo that you can get the retro mod and intellifeed halo mod done at the same time, just gonna cost a bit more

oh yeah, and by the way furby, your lcd looks sweet, and im sure it shoots the same. the vid was awesome, and congrats on having one of the sweetest markers on the planet, at least IMO. all i can do is envy you and the others who have their guns retro'd, at least for a few weeks until i have the funds to get my force done :blasting:

Hey i thought u needed a space frame for the new board to fit? I remember Emmit saying something like that. How bout a pic of the inside of the grip frame!
Furby

As soon as the camera gets back...not much to see, though...board and wires everywhere! The space inside the frame is pretty much full...

Me and my baby today....it absolutely RIPS! The refs thought it ripped a little too much:
http://gallery.68caliber.com/data/647/6Crush_August121.jpg
The ref thought for SURE that he had me dead to rights for bouncing....he watched me try to get it to bounce, then he tried...no bounce...."Crap, I guess you just shoot that fast normally"
The gun did great today, except that I forgot to charge the battery the night before, so sure enough, it went dead during a game:

Other than that mistake on my part, no complaints. One of my teammates was considering selling is Cobra IR3, but now he is DEMANDING that one of the MT's fly it....he's a believer now!

Hey i thought u needed a space frame for the new board to fit? I remember Emmit saying something like that. How bout a pic of the inside of the grip frame!
I'm pretty sure I've said from the beginning that without serious modification to the current frame it won't work.
The thing is that the board design was changed when they went with the Space frame, so it no longer sits in the grip frame the same way. This means that milling etc must be done to the inside of the grip frame. Now additionally in order to get the Fly conversion done even more must be done. You have no idea the extra milling that Russ had to do in order to allow Furby to keep his original grip frame, let's just say it was nothing short of expensive!!!! and extensive!!!!

I'll put up a picture later of the inside of the gripframe so as to give you guys an idea of how little space is in there...
