How do you set up your remaining shots? I thought i calibrated itself but after a day of shooting it still showed ---- as shots remaining. what do i do to calibrate it?

when you push the button a second time it takes you to the shots remaining feature, from there you hold in the button until it displays "calc" at this point you need to start firing your marker. Typically a ROF of about 5bps is sufficient, you'll want to shoot about half your hopper out this way. Once this is done it will give you a number of shots remaining based upon what it sees is your average air useage per shot. However if you change anything on your setup you will need to redo this, that means paint size, AIR output pressure, dwell, velocity etc. Anything that affects air useage will cause this number to be off and need to be recalculated....a nice feature, but not useful enough with all the variables that change over the course of the day.

Is there any reason you have to use paint for this?

yep...
1st it's a good idea to do it while you're setting your chrono for the day as that's the pressure you're gonna be operating at anyways
2nd...every dry fire about 100+ shots?;)
