LCD Stuck on serial!!

I just got my 2002 lcd today and when i turn it on the lcd shows the serial or whatever and doesnt go into safe mode. What can i do to fix this?

You might have your trigger set too short. If it is too short your lcd screen will only show the serial # because it's pushing on the micro switch just like when the trigger is pulled
