Well, my last leak out of the ASA was diagnosed as a random leak. Sometimes, as it was explained to me, the minireg leaks a little when the gun is gassed up if it just happens to get the wrong angle or something. Anyways...I degassed it and gassed it a few times and the leak went away...right as I was on the phone with the tech...(TALK ABOUT SERVICE!!! IF I DIDNT KNOW ANY BETTER I WOULD SWEAR THAT THE MASTER TECH PERFORMED LONG DISTANCE TELEKINESIS TO FIX MY MARKER!)

I played another game over the weekend, and when cleaning it afterwards I took out the bolt to apply the juice (where do I put grease anyways? the manual doesnt say anything specific that I can see). The gun was gassed (I put juice on the bolt and cycle it a few times to spread it around), and when I had the top door opened I noticed a small hiss from inside. So small that I couldnt even hear it when the bolt door is closed, but when the bolt door is open...I can hear a leak loud and clear. Any ideas? Is it an easy fix or should I send it in? Is it much to worry about even (ie: will it ruin my marker if I continue to use it like this until I do send it in?)

u put love juice on the bolt!?!?! dont to that is a :nono:
just put some love juice into your air adapter and fire 30-40 shots, open up the breech (bolt door) and wipe off the oil.
that should also fix the leak if not then you need to replace the exaust valve

the leak is either coming from your exhaust valve, or your ram, which hole is it coming out of?

DO NOT Grease or Oil your bolt. The bolt is delrin and "self lubricating". Oil or grease on your bolt can cause it to swell and that's bad.

Just try what IwannAngel said. That should take care of the leak. If it's still leaking there are a few other things that you can do, but try that 1st.

Oops, well, I took off all the juice...sorry bout that...the readout said something like "bolt lubrication suggested" or whatever. I thought that was what it meant. Well, I cant tell where the leak is coming from, as I havent opened up anything besides the bolt door. All I know is that the leak sounds like it it coming from right inside the long slot.

bolt wear check.... thats what teh gun says... just makes you aware of possible dirt in your breech, and grease goes internally when it is needed... ram orings, lpr assembly. etc

Yep thats it. Yeah, I was reading through the manual and saw the LPR maint. page...grease that. Anyways, I cant tell if the leak is coming from the ram or the exhaust valve...what's more likely do you guys think?

As mentioned it's likely your exhaust valve stem leaking past. Not a biggie. You can try running some oil through the marker to see if that helps it. Usually it does.

If it's really as small as you say then it's not really going to affect the performance of your marker at all. However if you're really that worried about it you could always replace the stem yourself, and that would almost certainly cure it.

And yes, it does sometimes seem like these MT's are miracle workers. Some of them can diagnose a marker problem right over the phone :yikes: and you know what's best about it...they'll tell you what you can do to fix it yourself instead of saying "Send it to me, I'll fix it" like some other internet techs do;)

That sounds like a bad business process; send it to me, I'll fix it.

Er, I mean.....

well, i ran 20 drops of juice through the marker..still leaking. have to start taking it apart...need to get a tech on the phone first to walk me through...give pointers, etc.

My site (in my .sig) has some pretty good walkthroughs for taking your gun apart.
