Anybody else in here running Norton's Anti-virus AND getting a pop-up for a www.seekseek.com window.

It seems like I can only check a few threads and then my Internet Explorer goes heywire with a HTTP 500 code saying that the page has failed. The page is that seek seek link???

WTF????

Anybody else having that problem!!!! Any ideas please let me know.

Matt, have you heard of this B4?????

Thanks all,
TN

You have some spyware issues sounds like.. switch over to mozilla, run ad-aware and put a pop up blocker (google toolbar) on IE so yuo don't get any pop ups.

IM me if you want some more help

Prime example, I went back to read your post Matt and the damn thing went crazy!

I just put Norton's on and did have a crap load of ad ware and spy ware stuff on here. My wife opened up a website that was loaded with it.

I also get a web like for ads.dealhelper on here too!!!!

I do have the Google blocker and it was working great until this ad ware crap!!!

Pak,I will PM you my email. If I stay on here long enough, I get that damn seek seek stuff!!!

I would get McAfee virus scan it seems to work better with xp and keeps some of the newer stuff out better than Norton's and get spybot. You can have it search your computer and find the spyware the virus scan doesn't pick up cause because its there and you might not know it. Do a google search for spybot and you can find their site with forums and stuff and downloading is free I think.

Ad-aware 6.0. run it once, reboot, run it again. and if it wont delete certain files, reboot in safe mode and run ad-aware again. you'll be as good as new.

Hey guys...to update, thanks for all the info and help. Unfortunately, I had to re-format my entire hard drive. It took my a very long time to back up and copy my photos onto my laptop.

I even tried running the adware and spybots. In the long run, it was better for me to reformat.

Thanks. I am back running at home, not just at work.

i use google toolbar and run spybot and adaware every now and then.

i dont get any popups unless the website really worked hard to make it come up, like animated advertisements and stuff like that, good thing not too many websites have those
