I recently bought an Angel LCD '02 from a guy.
THere are a couple of questions I have about it. First, (And I read about this in another thread) When I plug the charger in, it says TAB IN. I went to WDP's website, and looked at the specs. From what I saw, there is supposed to be a little plastic tab that goes into a slot somewhere to allow you to charge the gun? I know this is sorta irrelevent, since I can charge w/o it, but I still would like to know.
Second,
When I charge, it never seems to STOP charging. I read that when it is finished, instead of a blinking battery life bar, it would be solid. Mine never goes solid. Then, when I take it off charge, it still has one bar empty. Its like it never gets a full charge.
Questions is, does this mean my battery is jacked? I guess its not the end of the world if my battery is only mostly charged, but I would still like to find out if this is something that eventually may need fixing.
How many shots should you be able to get out of one charge?

THe "Tab In" was from the older wersion of Angels that had a pull tab and not an on/off switch. They never updated the manual after the switch. All you need to do is put the marker on then put the charger plug in, but it sounds like you are already doing that.
Not sure what to say about the missing bar, how long have you tried to charge it for? Try a solid 4 hours and see what happens.
As far as shots from a charge I think they said around 100,000 shots, but that also depends on how long you leave it on etc.
You should also find out what type of battery that you have nihm or nicad.

You need to remove the battery and it will say what kind it is on the label.

If it's the stock battery for the '02, then it should be a NiMh (nickle metal hydride). That's the improved battery w/ out the memory building characteristics of the older NiCad (nickle cadmium) batteries that had the tab. You should be able to see the color of the shrink wrap on the battery when you take the plug out or volumizer off of the battery compartment. If it's the green one, you have the NiMh battery.
Your charger should also say what battery it's made for. I don't think the NiCad charger will charge the NiMh battery, so make sure that the battery/charger combo is correctly matched.

if you still have trouble charging the LCD....try turning on the gun then put the charger on..it should work and you should see the bars do a sort of ripple of the bars.....

i mean like my angel lcd is on one bar left of battery strength but i heard that if i charge it while it still has some juice in it it will mess it up but i think i have the metal hydride cuz thats what the charger says

If you have the NiMh battery you can charge it whenever you want to. You can do it between every game if you really want to, but that may be considered OCD.

All of this made me think of one thing, is it posible to put a Speed/A4 Battery in an LCD, would it work properly?
I will soon have to change the battery as it is dying ( it's a NiCad ).

What does it mean by if the screen is blinking when charging?
Then the lcd light stays on for awhile, i pull the trigger and it's on even when on its off charging

Arnaud: the voltages are different. You can get a new battery/charger combo for around $100 from the sponsors. That's the newer NiMh battery w/ a switch. Then your battery will last much longer and you can charge whenever.
Kid: Your screen shouldn't be blinking. The bars should cascade while charging, and the backlight will come on as you scroll through menu's (unless you turn the light off). It will blink if you pull the trigger when in safe because it flashes to the pin screen, so it's like looking at the menu's. Make sure the LCD is seated in the board properly. If the marker works and charges, I wouldn't worry about it.

Save money, have it rebuilt, I can have mine rebuilt 5 times before it would be cheaper to go and get a new one.
