Piece of crap protests the Vietnam war AFTER he returns from it and then badmouths and talks ☼☼☼☼ about the veterans when they are returning. And if he gets pres like I hope to God he dont, he wants to cut back the military budget. Not to mention he has been voting on cutting back research for gear for the guys over in Iraq right now!!!!!, he can suck a big one for all I care!!!

VFW supports Kerry, as do the vast majority of veterans. If you want to talk about cutting military funding, check out this (http://www.uswa.org/uswa/program/content/998.php).
Kerry came back from Vietnam shaken by what he'd seen, and argued that the administratation needed to pull our boys out of a war we couldn't win that we weren't sure why we were fighting. He never insulted the soldiers, only their leaders for needlessly putting them in harm's way to advance an agenda that was unclear at best and suicidal in even moderate doses; essentially, the administration wasn't confident that communism was sufficiently flawed to collapse under its own weight, so it was important to fight against self-determination for the people of Vietnam when they decided to try communism.
Kerry went to Vietnam and went up the river with orders that amounted to, "Make lots of noise, get shot at, try to dodge the bullets, then fire back." Dubya, meanwhile, signed up for the Air National Guard to protect Houston from all those darn Viet Cong jets that were doing daily bombing runs over Texas. And then failed to show up for his physical. And then spent the next dozen or more years in an alcoholic and drug-induced haze, with no repercussions from going AWOL.

And obviously you believe aliens exist too!! Also I agree whole heartedly with Walbus and Thog! Walbus you couldnt have put it any better than that!!!!
Kerry was shaken by what he seen? So does that give him the right to spit upon veterans returning from the war? Does that give him the right to sit next to the infamous trator JANE FONDA and kick dirt upon the veterans??? I bet you didnt know that the 3 bogus purple hearts he got for his so called injuries in Vietnam, that he took them and threw them at the feet of veterans and blasphemised them during an anti war ralley!! In my book that makes him just as much of a trator as jane fonda's nasty butt!! Also you say he never insulted the veterans, BAHH, WHAT A CROCK!
2nd, I dont know which veterans you talked to about kerry, but all the veterans that I know from VFW's and Marine Corps Leagues, my father and his veteran friends and plain old veteran friends of mine all tell me the same, they wish they could get their hands on him and strangle his ass!! Like I tell all, text books dont tell you the REAL DEAL of what went on, it comes from talking to the REAL VETERANS themselves, not a piece of ☼☼☼☼ trator like Kerry!, so stop reading your crappy little text books and get out and actually talk to a REAL VETERAN.
So, you want to know anything else about Kerry? Just let me know so I can kick more dirt upon him, I know military history like the back of my hand! I have to, hell I'm a Marine, and come from a LONG LINE of Marines, lmao. Peazze out yall, be safe and play safe!!

Nope. But hiding out in the ANG (and I want to point out that this was not the modern National Guard, which is a ready-to-deploy fighting force, this was the Vietnam-era National Guard, which cost the military more to deploy than a bunch of fresh draftees*) does not qualify you to demand sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. Especially when his daughters seem curiously exempt from his repeated entreaties for every capable person to join the armed services.

As a national leader of VVAW, Kerry campaigned against the effort of the United States to contain the spread of Communism. He used the blood of servicemen still in the field for his own political advancement by claiming that their blood was being shed unnecessarily or in vain.
Under Kerry's leadership, VVAW members mocked the uniform of United States soldiers by wearing tattered fatigues marked with pro-communist graffiti. They dishonored America by marching in demonstrations under the flag of the Viet Cong enemy.
Pictured right, April 1971, VVAW demonstration - Washington, D.C.
On April 23, 1971, Kerry led members of VVAW in a protest during which they threw their medals and ribbons over a fence in front of the U.S. Capitol.
Much of Kerry's speech before Congress painted his fellow GIs as so brutal that, today, they could easily be mistaken for Saddam Hussein's Fedayeen killers.
He reported to Congress that U.S. soldiers had "personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam."
By the following day, April 24, the publicity from the 22nd and 23rd helped draw at least 250,000 demonstrators to the Mall in a massive protest.
Kerry, wearing his combat jacket, addressed the rally from the Capitol steps.
In less than a week, Kerry was transformed from little-known former swift boat skipper to a national icon for a movement that advocated against U.S. involvement in Vietnam and for the communist Vietnamese.
Kerry organized one of the most confrontational protests of the entire Vietnam War called Operation Dewey Canyon III.

Good thing that you and your discipline are saving us from those Japanese. We all know how dangerous they are these days, what with their repressive government enacting dictatorial laws and invading oil-rich nations to try to revive their struggling economy.
Or, wait, no, that was over a half-century ago. Now the worst that you're defending us against is a Hello Kitty! invasion.

That's not an argument. If you believe Jane Fonda is responsible for the fact that we couldn't win the Vietnam war, go ahead and explain why. But if, on the other hand, you're just blindly reusing lines you've heard on the GOP website, kindly admit to doing so, so that I can explain that Vietnam was a political, economic, and military quagmire that we never should have gotten into in the first place.
Now, if you want to vote for him, thats your own downfall.
No, that's my right. It's what you and my friend out in the war zone are in the Service to protect, and I honor the fact that you, and all your comrades-in-arms are doing so, by exercising my right to vote, in every election.

I'm uncertain what you're talking about here.
Forever America and to all who appose by marching with another countries communist FLAG, THEY DESERVE TO BE DEPORTED FOR BEING A TRATOR!! :patriot:
Learn to spell. Waving a French flag is ok, though, because they're not communist, just socialist? How about waving a Christian flag, or a Jewish one? Is that OK? Is it marching under flags other than the U.S. one that bothers you, or marching under the flag of an enemy?
One other thing. You may blast good 'ol G.W. for being in the Nat'nl Grd or for his DUI's but you know what, I WOULD RATHER HAVE A MAN THAT LOVE'S HIS BEER THAN A PUNK THAT DISRESPECTS HIS COUNTRY!!!
If you accept that Bush is an idiot, then you should look at who you're actually voting for by voting for him. I would not want Cheney as president, nor Rumsfeld, nor the real source of power in that administration--Karl Rove.
As a national leader of VVAW, Kerry campaigned against the effort of the United States to contain the spread of Communism. He used the blood of servicemen still in the field for his own political advancement by claiming that their blood was being shed unnecessarily or in vain.
It was. What did it help to send those boats up the river, just to draw fire and return fire? All it did was up the enemy bodycount; the Viet Cong's limiting factor wasn't recruitment, it was available guns. If one fell, one of his friends now had a new gun.

It always saddens me to see disrespect directed towards symbols of America, like the flag or our soldiers' uniforms. But I accept that allowing that is the price of living in a free country. I quote:
:patriot:America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've gotta want it bad, cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours." You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country cannot just be a flag. The symbol also has to be one of it's citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Now show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then you can stand up and sing about the land of the free.:patriot:

Is any of that false?

I don't think Kerry wants our country to burn in hell, nor do I think Bush does. I think both honestly believe that they are doing what is right for the country. It's unfortunate that Bush and I disagree on what that is to a greater degree than I disagree with Kerry, as that separation is what will cost Dubya my vote.
"Socialist" is a label that means nothing without something to back it up. Without looking it up, can you actually differentiate between socialism and communism? Being 15 and expressing political views is acceptable--even laudable. But being misinformed and simply repeating what you've heard from your friends and family and Fox News is not, not without some evidence to cement your case.

[quote]Don't compare my friend in the line of fire of Taliban insurgents with you relaxing in your quarters and heading out to the paintball field every weekend. Quite frankly, even if he didn't kick your butt (or outrank you and thus order you to kick your own butt), I will. I won't have you disrespecting U.S. soldiers, and I won't consider you one until you stop.[quote]
I'll keep this clean and make this the last post from me on this thread for Thog. I'll start with the Hello Kitty invasion, that was pretty good, I almost cracked a smile on that one. How long did it take you to research that one. Also you missed the entire point of marching under another flag. I dont care if you march with another one. But when it's under a communist flag at an anti-war rally IN America, THAT ANOTHER STORY!!
Now then 1. Well I guess you would'nt consider many Marines, MARINES, cause all feel the same, and it was not a blast at your buddy either. It just strikes me funny to see what you are posting in here defending Kerry, or it seems so to me, and then putting that statement up there, LMAO!!!
2. Even if you were in the military, I would never take an order from you cause I can tell with the possible LEADERSHIP style that you would have your Marines or what ever branch it would be, your men would be questioning your authority and they would end up taking over the squad to keep them from getting killed.
3. After 2 trips to the Desert and getting my Marines back alive to their families and wives and children, I believe my Marines and I deserve some good paintball before we head back again when they give us a 2 week notice to prepare for our possible death!!
4. I have no worries about my discipline or leadership style and nor do my Marines. You see you have to know their every weakness, strengths, fears, breaking point, how much they can handle, are they going to have your back in combat, can they be trusted in combat to keep a cool head, I will say my Marines are the ☼☼☼☼ and I would not trade them for another squad out there. You see, you train your Marines to the breaking point and it just makes them harder and more fierce on the battlefield!!
5. No we are not here as just a median to head off possible attacks from Korea or other Asian countries. We are still Marines and like one of our motto's goes, IN EVERY CLIMB AND PLACE! Lastly, this was never meant to get this heated or outta hand but like they say, life goes on and so does the rest of the world!
This is my last post on this subject so, if anyone was offended or hurt by this topic, sorry but life goes on. Be safe and play safe ya'll, and yes that includes you too Jouster! No hard feelings here bro! :patriot:
