this is pretty damn scary.... id cry like a school girl if i saw a 90 foot wave coming at me.... no matter how big of a boat i was on.

There has been extensive research on "rogue" waves. It is scary stuff. I have a few articles in my files about them.

The largest stuff that I've been in was 30-35 feet off of Argentina. We got caught up in a storm and it wasn't a pleasant 3 days.

I was just under 100 miles away from Hurricane Andrew before it hit Miami, but it wasn't nearly as bad.

I'd love to see a wave break over our flight deck, that's already 80 feet above the water. Worst storm I've hit was a tropical storm off the coast of Guam in '01
