alright i picked up an angel that has rusted breach rods. how do i get them out. i know i have to remove the set screws but whats next if they dont want to move? does the hole run the entire lengthe ot the body and the breach or od the rods just slightly go into the breach? also any one got a trigger spring they would give me? :notsure:

I do have a trigger spring I can give you if you want it. Just need an addy and I'll get it out. Also, once you have the set screws out, take a solenoid screw(or any screw with the same threads and is long enough,I would recommend finding another screw so you don't bend the solenoid one) and thread it into the end of the rods. They're threaded. Then use the screws to pull it out. After that, just clean them off and stick em back in. Make sure the breech is in the same position though after you put it in.

which breach rod do you mean though, the one with the knob attached to it? or the ones on the opposite side?

I'm pretty sure he means the rods actually holding the breech on. He mentioned taking out the set screws and there anren't any for the rod that holds the breech shut.

The rod does not go all the way through the body they are 2 rods (one front on back) If they are bent (like my fixer uper angels were) then you can buy new one at www.angelparts.com
