Not if everything is adjusted correctly. Right ram adjustment, good detents, LPR pressure and snap ring set right. Now, obviously, when you pull the trigger, the bolt's going forward if a ball is seated or not, so you'll need the mrof set appropriately w/ whatever hopper you're using.

If you start hammering on the trigger then yes it can be a problem. That is why I am all for the Angel Jam bolt (soon to be getting one myself...just as soon as I get the rest of the angel put back together)

choping also had to do with your hopper, which then u adjust your mrof to your hopper if u got a halo, turn it to full (what i do) and u might have to get stiffer ball dents
possibley a silly question becuase i have owned a angel for a while now an have been playing for 4 years... but still not the best at knowing everything about angels... i have a egg2 with z board... and with fresh batterys i guess its rated for 24bps... should i keep my MROF to 20 and have no fear of chopping (i JUST got my angel back from badlands with a $200 "OVERHAUL" bill becuase my angel was ☼☼☼☼t..) and i could never get my gun up past 8-9 bps and it would just be like throwing paint in a blender...
but the question is... should i be fine with it set to 20bps?!?! and have a constant stream of paint without chopping..
I have heard if an angel is tuned right u could ripp all day on it and NEVER chop paint... and my friend claims he has NEVER chopped since he has bought his angel in 2001...
is that beleivable?

Just get a good hopper. My gold LCD was fully unlocked so it could go full auto 20bps instead of 13bps (thog = my hero) anyway, at 20bps i emptied two and a half hoppers before the first chop.
So two factors: 1. Have your gun tuned by strait up PiMps
2. Get a fast hopper (I use a v35 halo)
