After adjusting my trigger on my IR3, I ran into a problem with my side to side play. It no longer seems to just move straight side to side, it moves on more of an angled side. This is causing a problem with my opto trigger, as the pull is rather light, I have aboot a 2mm pull till it triggers, but when I pull from the left (with my left fingers) the trigger will rest in a spot that it shouldn't keeping my trigger from reseting. I know all aboot how much foreplay, and back play I need in the trigger, I did the trigger job by the book, and talked to the angel tech in my area, and the way he told me to do the trigger job was the same way I did it. I was wondering if anyone knows what the problem would be, and I will tell you right now that there is nothing wrong with my opto board, it works fine, it is the actuall physical trigger. I have thought aboot putting something inside the grip to keep the trigger from traveling very far from side to side, but I am not sure if I should. Any words of wisdom will be appreciated.

Check "side trigger movement" under the LCD section of this forum. Some good stuff there. Some of the problem may be with manufacturing tolorances between the pivot pin and the hole in your trigger. If the hole is excessivly large, your trigger will twist and wobble on the pin...shiming the trigger to a minimum side clearance should remove the angled affect that you describe....maybe....
