Hey, in the past i owned a speed, but recently picked up a 2k1 dark to toy around with on top of my intimidator. i dont know much about it, and am having some problems. first off the gun needs charging, so i think im supposed to give it like a 3 hour charge right? cause the battery meter is empty. second, when i turn on the gun, all it says is

-P in-

What does that mean? how do i get it into a live mode so i can fire it? and when i pull the trigger, a long number comes up...is that my shot counter? yeah so any help is greatly appreciated.

-P-in ... it says TAB IN. when you plug it in to charge, you need to switch the gun on. if that doesnt make the TAB IN prompt go away, check the wires that are connected to the on/off switch, if one is frayed or disconnected, you need to reattach that.

first charge should be around 6hrs i believe. just leave it to charge overnight, the battery wont overcharge, so you dont have to worry about killing your battery.

when you pull the trigger, its giving you the ID number. dont worry about that. shot counter can be found by toggling thru the LCD options by pressing the middle button.

ok cool thanks, but when it says TAB IN or whatever, its when the gun is NOT plugged in to charge. thats why i cant get it into any sort of live fire mode. if i charge it for a while, and i unplug it, yes i charge when teh gun is on, it still says tab in even when its not plugged in anymore. what do i do

it shouldnt say TAB IN if the gun is on and not plugged into the charger. if it is saying that, first check the wires connecting to the on off switch. you gotta unscrew the backplate to do that. if theres not two wires connected to the switch, thats your problem right there. if not... id have to go with a dead board. send it to either TAG or Ken Crane

they're both certified techs. im sure both do a great job. Ken Crane is conviently located right on CAPE COD in Massachusetts, and im unaware of TAG is located. hit up their respective sites, and figure out one is closest or you feel best sending it to.

if it does in fact say Pin it's wanting the pin code to unlock the gun so you can take it to live mode. And if its locked and you dont have the pin # your :hititraw: and gonna have to send it off to a sponsor/MT.

thats what i was JUST going to post...lol
if you dont have the pin... you might as well just go get another board... OR you could send it off... i have heard you can get them reset if you have original receit of purchase...
but other then that... check in your manual... if the last owner put it in -PIN- mode... he probley wrote it down in the manual just flip threw the pages and take a look...
and if its not written down.... the number is probley
0000 becuase if im not mistaken that is the default pin for an angel..

and if that works i wanna cookie... :buckeye:

If you have a dremel, you could cut little notches in the screws, then use a screw driver to get them out. If not, you could use one of those star pattern things that are used to get allen screws out. Don't remember what they're called right now......

Oh yeah, for screws get a screw kit from one of the sponsors and that way you'll have extras incase anything else strips.

just use a hack saw and cut a slot in the screw head. then use a regular screw driver to remove it. or use the screw extractors u can pick up at sears
