Has any one tried moding a Halo B with 2 9volt batteries. I have seen the mod mentioned on another forum. Does it really work? Also anyone with a Reloader B, how slow does it run on only 4 AAs? Looking to get a Halo.
thanks,
g.

Yes, and it's fast. It'll also go through batteries like water, but...did I mention it's fast?
Hook the 9v snaps in parallel and go for it.

my halo was modded to use 2 9v batteries. it is dying fast though, it used to work as good as everyother halo, now it feeds as fast as an egg.

I did it and I enjoy it, I can't really tell any difference in speed. The big reason for me doing it is that it is different, and 2 9volts are cheaper to get then 6AA's. When hooking the batteries in parrel you are not sending more volts to the motor, and not going to hurt anything.

yea, mine was just as fast but ive had the mod for a lil less than a year now and its really getting alot slower... and running outta batteries quicker, i used to change em once a week, now i do it twice a day... thats why im stitching back to the evo for the time..

Reloader B with just 4 AA's runs faster than the Evo and drops the weight to about the same if I'm not mistaken.

All that extra current is burning up the motor...buy a new motor and it should be good to go again...
