Does anyone own these? What do you think of them, and how do they hold up? They seem like a great value over the Dye or WDP pants.

Thanks!

I have a pair, they look really nice, are really comfortable. On the other hand, the first time I wore them, they tore. ( afew stitches was wall they needed) I went a bit overboard with the sewing though. WDP pants look pretty nice, but dont have big pockets, the JT pants have around 13 pockets. Both the WDP and Dye pants do cost more, so it is up to you.

I got my c-4 pants and LOVE them, they were expensive, but they were worth every penny, and i think that wearing DYE or WDP is just more intimidating. lol i didnt even want to wear them they were so AWESOME!

So you feel the Dye and WDP are made better?

Yes, I haven't heard of anyone tearing wdp pants, and since from what I hear the dye pants are the same as WDP's (without WDP on it) I would use those.

Two pairs of what? 04' JT's?

dye c4- i think that these are the best pants out right now. they might be expensive and not the best value but i think that they last the longest and they also feel the most comfortable. the threading is tripled so it wont rip like the jt ones do and the c4 has the best knee pads imo, the jt knee pads on the pants are comfortable but they are a little stiffer and more bulky. c4 pants will last longer for sure.

jt 04- i had a pair of these for like 2 weeks and the first week it ripped, since the threading isnt tripled and its not as thick either. very weak threading and so when i slid it just ripped right off. they were pretty comfortable though, but the knee pads were stiff, i think that they would wear down a little with use though, but you can tell they would become flat and useless after while. before playing the next week i got them restitched and then they still ripped, so i had to slip on my hybrids for the rest of the day. its just the cheap threading that really sucked, and they were a bit bulky.

wdp- just tried em on over my jt03 pants and they seemed pretty tight (i did play with em for a few weeks tho). it was a smaller size but it was shaped kinda like the opposite of a bell bottom which was kinda gay. they appeared to be really durable though, and the knee pads werent thick but they were very nice. i just mainly didnt like the look of these. also, they go for the price of a c4 pants, and the c4 will last longer, although the wdp pants would last a really long time.

the wdp pants kinda remind me of the dye hybrid 03 pants, just a little bit more thick and durable.

I'm really looking at either the C4 or Jt 04', because the WDP ones look tight.(Just like you said) Only problem is that I would have to order the C4's, and I don't know what size I would need. My current Jt's are a 36 and it's great as far as leg room, and length (I like it baggy), but i do need a belt to be sure they don't fall off. My regular waist/pants size is around a 32. I'm about 5'10'', and 180ibs. I would just order the "large" C4, but they don't have belt loops, so If it's a little big on the waist then I'm screwed. If anyone can help me out, please post here, or catch me on aim if possible.

Thanks!

Just got the 04' JT's. They look great, and the construction looks like it will hold up for a long time. :)

It happened to me, except, the rip wasn't across the entire crotch as much as it was behind the bottom of zipper area. The rip was about an inch or two long.

Besides that it was all good? This crotch area rip seems like something that would occur if you have tight pants. Do you have tight pants? :)

I ordered a pair of Empire pants. They're really light and look cool but the padding is thin and the material is a little scratchy so I exchanged them for the O4' JT's. :)

boathouse,
do the 03' JT's have the mesh lining on the inside like the 04's?

the 03 and 04 pants have the same interior lining.

i dont like the evil pants, they look way too cheap and they dont match the rest of anything good.

The interior of the 04's are a little more scratchy than the 03's in my opinion.

if you tighten the ankles string too much it itches but other than that it is all smooth....

How are you supposed to wash the 04' JT's anyways? Is it safe to put them in the washing machine, or do they have to be hand washed?
