Hey guys,
Just joined the family. My wife got me a new CnC IR3 for x-mas and it arrived today, so I'll be tortured for the new two weeks as it sits under the tree. But anyways, are there and upgrades or tools that i'll need to buy right away so I could at least get a jump on that? Is there a break in period for the Angel when everything is OK and then one day the sh@t hits the fan?? I'll try to grab the manual and start reading that while I suffer for the next two weeks but and advice or info would be appreciated.

You've already answered your question. Reading the manual will give you a good idea of what you need in order to enjoy your marker to it's fullest potential. Yes there is sort of a break in period, after about the first 5 cases or so you may or may not notice a change in performance. If you do it's time to look at your LPR. Some people have noticed that after they've cycled it that many times the grease that was used to pack the gun has now been shot out, and the internal settings are a little different. You might need to shim the LPR at this point, but don't do so without checking the pressure first.

Invest the $45.00-$50.00 in the tool kit and you'll have everything you'll need.
Buy a toolkit and some love-juice
Read and Reread the manual
read these forums and the ones at pbnation.com
Assuming you have a good nitro system and a revy, you should get the tool kit and a nice plug in the wall charger or a small power supply for your charger.
Otherwise , save your money for paint , your gonna need it...

you could do some things for appearance...such as a nice breach knob, volumizer, and maybe even a tail grip

Right now I'm not worried too much about cosmetics, just the essentials. Thanks for all the info guys.

Is this gauge just used for checking the lpr and then removing it or can this stay there permanantly(sp?)??

you can leave that guage permanently in place, however we tested one a few weeks vs the guage that comes in the tool kit, and it is really innacurate. I would suggest you put a regular guage on there, and check the pressure, then put that on, and make note of where that one is registering the pressure so that way you'll know if you've got a problem.

So basically you are saying that if the good guage is giving a reading of psi, then you will know how far out the tool kit one is, therefore you can calculate by looking the actual LPR pressure!

I think that's what you said?!?!????
I would recommend using the guage from the tool kit as this is much more likely to be accurate, plus it's range is better meaning that you're even more likely to be accurate. The small guage that we tested vs the tool kit was off by quite a bit, however it now allows the user to know that his marker is set a certain pressure, and if his guage shows something different then it's time to investigate as there may be a problem. Now you still won't know what your LPR is set at without checking it with the tool kit guage, you'll at least have a starting point when you have problems.

where can i get a gauge to replace the one in the tool kit? I noticed the tech at warped la had a different one on there. What size fitting is on the adaptor to the front cap threading?

What's wrong with the guage in the tool kit? If you need to replace the guage because say the glass broke, then you should be able to go a local Grainger or something and get a new one that will fit the threads on the attachement. Again I'm not sure why you would want to replace it, it works fine.
