my deepest apologies if this question is over asked or anything, couldnt come up with anything in a search but maybe I'm just a moron.
anyway heres my Q:
how long until the fly conversion for the lcd comes out? I just bought a dark 2k2 lcd and I'm curious what changes will have to be made to it so that the retro will fit. thanks

It's still being developed. Russ, one of the MT's www.angelservicecenter.com , did some work on a prototype LCD, namely mine. Look on his site and you'll see the work done. For starters it seems as if the trigger frame needs to be changed so that starts to add to the cost and also there hasn't been an announcement as to the value of the LCD board as a viable trade-in. Stay tuned.

Feh, I am jealous! If I can convince cobra to sell me a mamba fierce frame that'll be what goes on mine.. if this retro ever comes out ;)

it's not an if...it's simply when.
As you can see they've already done it once, they are simply trying to keep up with the demand right now. You'll note that many users are reporting less than 2 weeks turn arounds in some cases less than a week. That's unheard of anywhere else doing any other mods right now. That's the whole reason that they waited on parts before accepting their first markers. They wanted to make sure they could keep up with the demand for a long while and not just in spurts. Something else they are waiting on is the frame you see on Carlos's LCD. They are being made so that LCD's can accept this modification, obviously as such the cost will likely be a little higher, but then again it's well worth it!!!

25bps and above - reliably feeding; I'd say so!
Well worth it, I'm sure they'll finalize their plans soon enough.

Right side is not drilled. I only have the stock detent on mine and it works fine. Maybe when the MT's do the final specs that may change but I highly doubt it.

So its going to cost a little more for an lcd cause you have to replace the trigger frame? I already have a space frame in mine.

in which case you might not have to pay quite as much.
As long as the Space frame is a WDP frame and is set up to accept the block for the eye covers etc then it will work. Hack jobs will not.

:cough: $30 frames :cough: :stupid:
Well a little bit more since those $30 frames need to be milled to work.
sorry to do a phoenix on this, but I have v2 dark lcd. looking at CC's mod, it looks like the screw for the eye cover will be on the milled part on v2 version. just wondering if the mt's has to make another template/jig/program for this type of marker.
