Its not too high, it's the one A4's come with, the one with all the O-ring's in it, I've used it a few times (2 or 3) it does lock, if you twist it.
I'm in Barcelona right now, I'll be back in the US on the 29th, so if you sent me money or are in the process of sending it,sorry if it takes a short while.

no it wont... at least not without some SERIOUS modification to either the board housing or the grip frame...

It will fit, but you need to modify the frame, because the Ir3 isnt the space frame that the baord was disinged for.
