I have a 2002 Angel LCD, Im going to upgrade to the soft face bolt soon, and I was looking into getting a 16"-18"barrel for my angel lcd, for better accuacy/reach. I have a 14" Freak barrel with all inserts, but I was wondering if a 16"-18"barrel would give me more accuracy/distance, And if so what would be the best barrel probably for what I'm looking for. I was thinking of going with one of the dye boomsticks/Ultra Lites. But I don't know much about them.

I'd say that a boomstick or an ultralite would do the job. But why buy a new barrel if you have a Freak Deluxe?

Just buy a new tip for your Freak System?
Or aren't you satisfied with your Freak?

I'd still say it's one of the best upgrades I've bought...

14/16/18 makes no matter....when the ball leaves the barrel it's doing 300fps right?

well there ya go.

Could the lenght effect by the lenght of rifled bore area?
Longer rifled bore -> better (what's the word again... darn ... umm ..) rotation speed/spin ... ( ?) on the ball -> less effect from wind ect ...

just something I was thinking... nothing sure :D

But the effect is so little that the lenght won't effect your accuracy ... some just like to play with longer barrell ...

I would go with the boomstick or ultralites. Don't realy recommend the rifled barrels. When was the last time you've used perfectly round paintballs? If the ball isn't perfectly round, putting a spin on it would cause it to go a different direction rather than going straight. Hence your accuracy would drop no matter what the lenght is. I have the Dye boomstick, SS ultralite and the Armson rifled barrel. All I can say is that I don't use the Armson anymore, My target area is not as accurate with the Armson compared to My Dye barrels, that's using marbleizers balls. I suggest any Dye barrels. :biggthump
