Ok first off I apologize if there is info somewhere on this... I searched and I didn't come up with anything about it though.
My Question
When the conversion is ready for the LCD Angels can you keep your existing frame or do you have to use the space frame? The reason I ask is that I am getting an eclipse blade lcd frame and would want to keep that instead of going with the space. Once again sorry if this information is on the forums. I looked but didn't find it. Thanks for any help anyone can offer me.

I guess no one knows yet? I was hoping maybe one of the master techs could answer this one.

You will need a frame that supports the encapsulated pcb.
So in answer to your question....no...the eclipse frame will not work.
You can get a 45 frame or a space frame that supports the encapsulated board.

No way to modify the existing frame? This is sorta depressing news because I wanted the eye-q but didn't want another frame. Maybe this will change. Hopefully it will.

I think the MT's are working on a 45 frame that holds the new style boards, perhaps in preparation for the LCD conversion? Not confirmed yet, but aluded to a while back ;)

i came to teh same" conclusion" , and ken alluded to it again later as well
so if there cant be anything done for the board to fit into our "STOCK" 45 frames how much extra would we have to dish out for a 90* space frame??
personally i want the space frame.. but my wallet is gonna be flat after the conversion... and the conversion is already like 500+ (canadian dollars) and the space frame i am guessing is a little over 100... so ouch... ouch.... umm ouch in wallet area.. :hititraw:

It's not compatible with the opto board. Trust me, I know.
