I've had it!!!
So far I haven't had a good day yet with my iR3.
Today again, breaks in the chamber, dropoff, inconsistency, and the occasional ball that likes to just roll out of the barrel.
I have tried everything to fix it, nothing works.
I'm taking it to Warped in LA sometime next week. If it still has these problems after that, its getting recycled into soda cans.
Ok I'm done, just had to go cry and moan somewhere  :pissed: , especially since my black dragun outperformed the angel today. The only highlight was the fact I hit 16 breaks per second.:puzzled:

well if you had balls just rolling out the barrel you're probably using too small of a barrel for your paint. That would explain the breaks, inconsistency, and drop off. It could also be that your ball detent is not working properly or that your feed system is not up to par. $.02

Nah, the barrel was sized pretty close. What I meant was just enough air pressure behind the ball to shoot it about 5 feet in front of me. I have run a crossfire and a conquest tank, a HALO and a Richochet, and I replaced the stock detent with the System X adjustable. Lol, I'm jinxed.

Talk to "Jingles" at Warped LA, he will get you taken care of. It sounds like you just have a bad LPR. If you don't get it taken care of drop me an e-mail and I will help you out.

I know how you feel right now, having gone through the same thing a few weeks ago. Hang in there. Mine now runs like a rocket!!!!....(if i could just get my feet moving a little faster...) These markers can be touchy...and this owner-group format is a great place to get help.

Just send it to a service center and have them shoot paint through it and do some reg work/detent etc.

try making sure your lpr pressure is at around 100. the recommended 85-90 is not enough sometimes. mine was at 85 and all it did was get MASSIVE drop off and first shot drop off. it chopped paint every other ball cuz of this. there wasnt enough pressure to push the ball and fully open the valve. it would dry fire nicely but sucked with paint. i boosted it up to 100psi and have never had a problem since. shoots like a dream and im now hooked on angels. also if u are running a halo b, good luck. its pretty darn common for halos to cause lots of chops due to the force it puts on the ball stack. the angels WEAK ball detents dont even come close to handling it. a few have gotten their halo bs to work by putting the dwell at 16 and getting cobra indestruc-detents.

Well, I've had a week to cool down, and I'm finally getting a chance to run it down to warped. Thanks for all the input and tips guys, but I'm gonna let a certified tech handle this one.
I'll post how it goes later.

OK, a cup seal and a new lpr later, it gave me 293, 290, 292.
Works for me, just gotta see if it keeps it up on the field.

'Cup Seal'??????????? Do you mean Valve stem, or something in the LPR? Angels don't have Cup Seals.

So I got bored, and just decided to look back at my first posts on this site. Wow. I've come a long way with my teching skills, and I still love angels.
Just look at the amount of helpful suggestions that were posted. That is one thing that hasn't changed about this place, and I don't think it ever will.
Thanks for everything AOG!!! And I hope I've been able to help others out the way they helped me when I first posted here.

wow, time sure flys. this was a post made by a friend of mine that is no longer with us. cant believe 3 years have past. god rest your soul jim aka capnut:patriot:
You need to replace the valve stem about every 70,000 shots.I have 150,000 on mine and replaced it 2 times.

The first problem I see is that your using a Halo-only use a Halo with double detents and eyes!.....the main problem though,I think is the quality of paint.
If it rolls out of your barrel every now and then, and breaks in the breach, sounds to me your using poor paint...plus it helps if your gun has been serviced recently(you'll be amazed the state of some guns used for Rec ball).-hope this helps.....just a plug too......get your IR3 'SPITFIRE' modded...
well worth it:boobies:
