Cut the egg?

i was just wondering if i should cut the neck down abit on my egg to make it sit down a lil lower?

what would be the best way? (take it apart first?)
has it caused or solved any problems for ppl?

This probably needs to be in general paintball chat.....
But, I think that you would be better ahead getting a low-rise feed rather than hacking up your egg. I have an A+ and like my Speed Combo!

My Egg with z board works much bettor with a 3/8" cut off it, the short feedneck on the Force Fly was keeping the Eye in Egg fedding even though it was full

if youre going to cut it, use a pipe cutter and sandpaper, not a hacksaw....it will be a lot cleaner and straiter.

:pat: while I was trying to make my gun stand I used a hacksaw... now that i think of it I should have use the pipe cutter!

if you do anything, remove the springs on the egg doors, this alone will save you a few bucks down the line, I learned the hard way

Using a Dremel with a cutting disk on it works quite well. Use a drum sander bit to get rid of any of the extra melted plastic as well as to smooth down, straighten, and get rid of any sharp edges on the cut. While we are talking about mods for an Egg, taking the springs out like mentioned above is nice. As well as sanding down the lid catch tab on the body a little bit so that the lid is easier to lock into place and close when done reloading. That only works if you remove the springs though.
