I soon hope to have my speed eyeQed (as in its already in the box waiting to be sent out)
and i was woundering if the black ribbon covers would take kindly to any kind of over the counter paint, or are they made out of sum special kind of plastic that dosent take well to being panted

Actually they are made of rubber. Since they flex the paint might flake off easily, but you could try sanding with high grit to get paint to stick a bit better.

i think it would work becuase they dont move much.. but after a while it would start to crack but then u pull out the paint and do it agin

It also depends what kind of paint you use, oil or water based. I would suggest an oil based paint, the water based paint is more likely to feel off, even if you do try to sand it down.

there might be special paint for rubber...or plastic becuase if they make rubber paint then it wont peel..

i am thinking sumthing more allong the lines of that krylon(sp) spray paint which is made for plastic in a silver color to kind of match my speed
any insite on how that stuff works

if u want a silver look then u can always go with the trusty DUCT TAPE :smiley: :lol:
