12. Place female connector, this is where your barrel will go

13. Ready! you can paint it as you wish.
After you use the stand for a bit, you may choose to epoxy some of the parts together. It is recommended not to do this untill you use it for a bit and get a feel for how it is setup and which parts you may want to remove to transport the stand.

first of all wut did u use to make the barrel stand part?
second i think u mean 6 feet of tube not 6 meters(about 20 feet)

I went by Home Depot and got all the stuff. Get about 10 feet of PVC pipe just to be safe incase you mess up. All the stuff will cost you about $8. It takes about an hour to make (most of the time is done cutting the pipe). I'm currently painting mine. I put a coat of black on it and when it dries I'm gonna go back over it with a silver coat. Have pics up later. :)

Might have trouble getting the paint to stay on the pipe, but I would go with a flat black. Either that or a metallic silver :)

The holder is made out of a male and female connector, they have threads. Otherwise you could use another "T" connector and cut the top of the "T" part off.

thats awesome............ im thinking about making a BIG hockey goal sized target for my back yard, should have something by the end of the month. Part of the reason for doing this is because im not lucky enough to shoot a TREE(PACKMAN) in my backyard so i need something to collect my paint in.

My stand:

I actually succeeded at something! However, while it was drying outside, it started to rain so I had to run grab it and some of the paint smudged. But now I have enough pipe left over to make 1 or 2 more stands. :)

Sand the part that is smudged and repaint.

Very nice. The measurements are more like a guideline. Everyone has a slightly different setup. Once you get it built you can trim or add parts (which is another reason why I said to hold off for a bit on the epoxy).

Just a little box type thing to cradle the bottle. The box would sit on the floor and be part of the main stand.

Just to get back on topic...AngelDude3, I like the stand, but would put a cross piece in the middle of the bottom frame. I would put a T in the middle of it and extend it up to the barrel about where it goes into the gun. Then cut a T in half so the barrel sits on it. It would just provide another rest for the barrel incase the tip accidently comes out of the elbow. I'd just hate to see my gun come crashing down knowing that I could of put in a little extra support.
Just my $.02 but it does look nice. :biggthump

Here is one that I made. The back is angled to keep the center of the tank off the ground and it folds down making it easy to take to the field.

Vantage is that what you're talking about?
but thats what im trying to do... just cant get the lengths and width to fit my tank...

Remember measure twice and cut once. You can always make things shorter, but you can't lengthen them;)

06-23-2004, 12:43 AM
I made the back part (that holds the tank) alittle longer than needed.... just in case you have different length barrels. With a 12 inch barrel the gun could move forward and with a 16 inch barrel the gun could move backwards. This keeps the stand stable with any barrel size.

Yes the one bower23 made is what I had in mind.
