so I'm out at the local field today goofing off...and start to notice I'm getting serious shootdown. I mean you can literally see the balls drop shorter each time. Any ideas?

it may be that your pressure on your tank is lowering every time you shoot. or your paint is too big for the barrel.

Lpr could be set too low also. 80-90 psi on an LCD should work fine, if its lower that could be some of your problem.

I had the same problem and adding a few shims fixed it. The manual will tell you how many to add depending on how low the pressure in the lpr is.

which snap ring are u guys talking about? is it the one in the mini reg? if so how do u tune it and how would that increase preformance?

You should download and read the manual available on this site, with the permission of WDP. It'll get you acquainted with your gun.
The snap ring is in the back of the gun on the right hand side (with the barrel looking away from you). The adjustment is described in the manual and also in the FAQ's that I'm sure Matt and Jason will have back up soon.

here are the things to do...
1. if you have an adustable tank make sure the output preasure is set at around 750 psi.
2. make sure your LPR is at aproximatly 84 psi.

best thing to do overall is take it to a tech.

yeah I'm running by the local shop tomorrow....he's got the stuff to rip it open and check the LPR, and whatnot...hopefully we can get it taken care rather simply....don't want to have to send it to Warped if I don't have to.

arghhhh!!!!! Not cool...so I visit the local shop (cuz he's got all the tools I need) we check the LPR, the inline, the tank...everything is okay...I cycle the marker a few times, and the LPR is dropping to like 60. I call WS Mississippi, his suggestion is to add a shim...so I add a shim, press stays the same (weird) so I add another shim pressure goes up to about 95ish...when pulling the trigger the pressure is still dropping off, and not recharging up to anything above about 80 or so...so I bypass the mini-reg (used a flatline set to 500) and same conditions are still there...looks like I'll be sending this to WS for a check up, local Air Smith thinks it's the LPR, I usually tend to trust him on most things (even tho he is an AGD Master Tech)...so now I'm just ranting...good thing I'm reffing this weekends tourney instead of playing....

actually this problem was quite old and has been fixed. The problem was a bad LPR. If your LPR is not recharging quickly to where it should be, and it's only creeping up, then you need to have your LPR looked at and most likely replaced.

Had a similar problem, sent it off to WarpedSportz, and they had to replace it because it was shot. Glad you got it fixed Emmit.

To others, I recommend that you get an Angel Toolkit, so you can check your gun. I check my LPR every time before and after I play. It is always good to have your marker working.

YES, I KNOW IT WAS OLD... I DIDNT WANT TO START ANOTHER THREAD...

anyway... is it normal for the lpr to jump around that much???

and i did replace the lpr in my dark and it does the same thing!

well since having the LPR replaced in my Dark by Warped Sportz, and tuned completely it has no problems. So I would recommend a good tune-up by a factory tech.

I had some similar problems with the LPR. I've found that just lubing the lpr with some dow33 or comparable lube keeps the lpr recharging fast and prevents the creeping problems you are having. I also drop some gold cup on top of it after reinstalling it. This may be overkill but I haven't had any problems since I started doing it.

but can someone answer this

the lpr is set to 90... during rapid fire it drops to 50 and then recharges to about 80/85.....after you stop it goes back to 90

is this normal????????

if that problem occurs its probably a bad lpr like already said. glad to see everything is working for you but the rest of this is for everybody else.

what i noticed was that my lpr does what my minireg does. when i have my ir3 shooting at around 290 fps the lpr reads 95 which is what it should be at for an ir3. when i turned up my minireg today the lpr pressure went up as the minireg went up! it went up to 115psi. The Angel Guy said that i need exactly 500 psi going into the gun when adjusting the lpr to get the correct reading. looks like ill need to borrow an adjustable tank and do just that. so an idea would be that if your lpr is getting major shoot down and only recharging half way then it could really be your mini reg doing it since whatever your mini reg does your lpr does too.

its just an idea because i dont see how an lpr can "go bad". i can see a need for a new spring stack from it losing its spring-like properties, but to replace the whole lpr just doesnt seem necessary considering an lpr doesnt just change shape or break. so if getting erratic pressures in your lpr i suggest cleaning it and relubing it with Love Juice grease or dow33(shocker lube), cleaning and relubing your mini reg, and if you have to, replace the spring stack.

well, an lpr does have a spring and an oring in it.. so it can go bad...

what does a stock 2002 lcd lpr come set at?

deathfist

if its set up correctly about 85-90 psi will get the job done

WarpedKid02

AngelDude, it should come between 85psi and 90psi. I run mine at 87psi, and think a lot of people run it at that.
