okay well im sort of having a debate whether or not my freak barrel is a 14 inch or 16.
the guy is telling me that you do measure the threads when finding the length of it.
That makes no sense though, it doesn't protrude past the end of the gun therefore it shouldn't be counted towards the total length of the barrel.

From what I know it is a 16 inch, I believe this not so much because I agree with what the guy said but because a friend of mine has a 14 inch all american front and it looks a lot shorter.

i measure the threads in with it because that's all surface that the ball is contacting....it's really a matter of opinion, though

barrels are measured including the threads. It goes by the effective length of the barrel, not by the "cosmetic" length you see protruding from the marker.

That's a 16, I used to own a 14. The porting was basically the entire length of the tip, this tip has some extra space. So obviously a 16.

the correct answer is as stated you measure including the threaded portion...16;)
