Okay, about two weeks ago I got the message about greasing the gun. Now, not having any grease except Shocker Lube, Im thinking this is okay, grease is grease and I've Dow 33'd every other paintball gun and its been fine. So I pull out the ram and hammer and grease it all up. Not alot, but greased like the manual says. I go to play, and the last two times I've played with the mid and large size volumizers and had minireg pressures around high 200's on the large, and close or on 300 with the mid. Before I did all this I'd be at low 200's with the mid size volumizer. I ask a big Angel guy at the field about it and he looked at me crazy when I told him I put Shocker lube to it. the only other thing that was changed is I put Angel Air on the gun, but I don't think that is the problem. I cleaned most of the Shocker grease off the ram and put Love Juice on it. It slides better but still crappy reg pressures. Anyway, some thoughts on how rectify this would rock. I really don't want to hear how stupid I am for putting Shocker lube on an Angel, do me a favor and save that crap.

I use shocker lube as well. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe you used too much lube. Did you take apart the minireg and relube that as well?

the minireg acts sort of like a filter grabbing all the dirt etc in the air. Cleaning the minireg might be a good idea.

As for using Dow 33, that's fine many people use it because they can pick it up at their local shop or Grainger down the street etc. You'll be just fine, just clean the minireg.

I had a customer come in that used DOW 33 on their marker and it would get horrible efficiency. Apparently he put too much and it began to fill air passages. I found that slightly diluting the DOW with some love juice eliminated this problem.

yeah but why use dow33 and mix it with love juice, when you have love juice and can use just that?

Love Juice is the oil, mixing a little oil with the grease will make the grease thinner;)
