hey this may sound kinda dumb, but our team i think has landed some sponsors and I dont know what to do about them. for instance lets say u land dye as a sponsor. do you just call them up and say im from team "whatever" and to send me my discounted/ free stuff? im kinda confused on how all of this works. what do u do?:doh:

well....when we got our two sponsors they contacted us and told that we got the sponsorship. they explain all the rules and all the ups of having the sponsorship... most companies will just tell u to contact them whenever u need somthing...id contact the company and ask them the benefits of the sponsorship...and just tell them what u would like...

In addition you don't just call their number. There is usually a specific person you are supposed to talk to within the company. Also there is a designated person on the team who is supposed to be the liason with said company. When we had NitroDuck only one person on the team was aloud to call to order anything and get the teams pricing. They should be sending the team some sort of contract, and the rules and stipulations to keeping your sponsorship. Something that is appreciated by the companies is that the team send a "thank you" letter. Not an e-mail an actual letter. That means typing it up, and printing it, then having everyone on the team sign it. It's also nice at this point to include a team photo of you either holding up your banner with their logo, or wearing their gear. Best of luck with your new sponsorship.

i agree with emmit fully on that...there is usually one person u are suppose to talk to...also...it is always a good idea to send a thank you letter to them....that always shows that you are a well organized and polite team...

i know when we hooked up with dye the contract was THICK.same thing as everyone else said....only one contact person to be ordering and whatnot.....good luck

One thing with a DYE sponsor... They outfit you head to toe. You either wear/display all of the DYE line or none at all.

true but thats what 80 percent of the team was using already, accept barrels..seems funny being a dye sponsord team shooting freaks.

Does aka give out alot of sponsorships? That would be sooooooo cool to get free aka parts, and maybe even an excalibur!

You won't get anything free, believe me. Probably discounts, but nothing free... except maybe stickers. Companies like Dye or AKA only give free stuff to their Pro teams.
