A cradle clamps onto the tank itself. A drop as an ASA attached to it. A cradle is one of those rod things.

A cradle is what you stick your tank into, an on/off is kind of like a cradle, except you can turn the air flow on or off. A drop is attatched to the space frame and the other end is stuck onto the cradle OR on/off

i personally advise to dont get drop forwards or large cradles, they make your elbow stick out quite a far amount with you hold the gun up to shoot. i would reccomend a CP rail...or some other rail, or just a straight ASA even. but it's all basically personal comfort and desire. if you would like a drop, i suggest a shocktech drop maybe, those are very nice. they flow with the lines of the gun very well.
hope i helped :)

um yeah.. drop forwards dont really affect performance if your comfortable shooting your gun that way... so:

appearance > uselessness....
