Is it really black or is it like the that crappy smart parts black (that has a purple hue to it)? There are no shops or anything like that for 200 miles around where I live or I would go look.

My IR3 is VERY black. To answer your question , yes, it is super black.

I have 2 Dye volumizers ,and under a lamp , one looks a little purple, same thing with my Cobra trigger.

The SP FreAk back looks perfectly black.

Most of the time we dont analyze the anno that much, I am just happy to have one, no matter what the shade of black.

And anno batches differ from time to time.

Well, that is good to know. I saw an impulse that had such a weak black that it was almost purple. That was ugly and I am picky, so it wouldn't have worked for me.

Most blacks are a combination of darker purples.

I saw a black carved IR3 at the warped sports site, but I'm not sure if you were meaning a "C&C" or just some type of carved black marker.

to my knowledge I don't know that WDP ever did a black C&C that sorta defeats the whole purpose of the idea Cut & Colored. If you want any kind of mill work and it being black you're going to have to go with one of the Customs (Darks, Cobras, etc. )

One of the WDP techs got a black 2000 C&C LCD made for him, supposively 1 of 10. He ended up selling it though...

oh, and many people claim c+c is cut and carved. I'm not sure of the official word from WDP... they usually are lowkey when it comes to abbreviation meanings.
