I have had my Cobra Ir3 for like 2 months for like the first 2 weeks any kind of break was un heard of. I still do not break in the bolt but my barrel looks like a blender after a match. It is not the paint barrel match or the quality of the paint does any one know what the problem is. It is driving me crazzy. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks

What paint are you using?

warped paint can do that.. but i would be more suspicious towards the barrel.

I would recommend a barrel you can change the bore size on.. that way you can test to see which size works best before you go out and play so your whole day isn't ruined.

I do not think that it is the paint or the barrel becasue i us both a jt changeable barrel or a dye broomstick. Also i was using really good hellfire and it shot great out of my backup gun which was using a broomstick as well. so i think it is a little more of a problem than a bad barrel or paint. Thanks for your reply though

It only happens when i shoot fast. It kinda looks like one of the balls slows down in the middle of the stream. so is possible that one slowes down so much that other one catches it in the barrel caussing a break??

The balls are going close to 300fps. Unless you had some really, really bad shoot down then a really fast recharge that can't happen I don't think.

I have seen something like that before but the guys LPR was apparently not working correctly.

You are saying that it only happens when you shoot fast. My only thinking is that the ball is not feeding out of the loader fast enough. And if you don't have cops on it has a possibility of choppping.

You need the angel toolkit. There is a lpr gauge that screwes into the front of the gun where a volumizer would go.

i think i figured out the problem:

if your shooting with a broomstick, theres no hole for the paint to go through- its a hard stick of wood. my boomstick shoots paint fine though and i rarely have any barrel breaks.

sorry i couldnt resist.

For IR3 it is best to run the ram (LPR) about 95-98psi.

When you have the gauge in, fire to see how well it recharges. In rapid fireing and the pin should only dip a little bit.... If it is creeping up or falling down you have a problem.

I'd say check the detent and make sure your not double feeding balls.
