I would just like to point this out. I have noticed that a lot of people have said how many shot's are on the gun. It does not matter how many shot's are on the counter. You could sit there without any air and shoot it up to 500,000, and then put air on it, and it would work perfectly fine. I don't know anyone that would want to take the time do that though.
If your buying an Angel be glad that you are getting it. It is the best marker on the market right now, am I wrong? Look here for yourself:

If you are buying a used Angel, look at it's spec's and decide from that and the picture's, but don't go by the shot counter.
Thanks.

Shout counters can, and have been, defeated on the LCD. The LED didn't even bother with one. On the IR3 you can't mess with it. Truth be told the shot counter provides some idea of the guns "mileage". Is NOT however what you should be going by when purchasing an Angel. Inspect the internals and then can you tell if the gun has had a hard life or if it has been well maintained. Speak to the owner, get an honest answer as best you can.
There are exceptions. Case in point, my gun. It was hardly used by the time I got it (17k shots) and since then I replaced ALL of the internals AND the board. Is this not a "new" gun? It's a 2001 with all of 5k shots on it. Now realistically I don't care because I would never sell my beloved Dark, but the fact that I baby it and it has such a low shot count would potentially make it a hot gun to sell. PLEASE don't cheat a future owner of a gun just because you can. While I love technology and what it does for us, I hate the fact that say SexyAngel can modify the shot counter. So, as usual Caveat Emptor, Buyer Beware.
In the end, you can't go wrong with an Angel.

That is very well explained.
Another thing, there is a way with the Hyperterminal to reset your shot counter, just to let you know.

Yes Warped, I know. I have been amassing a document with lots of how-to's with pics, technical info and schematics on the Angel for a while now. Upon request some members have emailed me, and I have supplied it to them via email or redirecting them to a small website on geocities where they can download it. The hyperterm method is explained in there as well, as is making your own datalink even.
You see, I believe in sharing information and using it wisely. What I disagree with is unethical use, and the shot counter being modified to me at least, is unethical. Most people will do it for profit to sell a ''hardly used'' gun. Leave it to human nature to turn information into an abuse of power. Hence why what I'm saying is people should thoroughly inspect guns before buying, the shot counter should be a very small factor in a persons decision to buy an Angel.
Once again I'll use my gun as an example. Maintained by me mostly, prior to me it belonged to a pro player on a fantastic squad that doesn't even have to tune his guns, it's done for him by a respected tech. I was fortunate on two counts, getting the gun, and subsequently having none other than Ken Crane do my internals for me and a tune up. I would put my gun up there with the best in the world in terms of maintenance. You CAN'T fake that, a shot counter you can.

I agree with you C. Carles. Case in point, I bought a used 2k LCD about two or three months ago. It had well over 110k shots on the counter. The previous owner told me he replaced the LPR not long before. There were no visible scratches or dings in the body at all. You could tell that he took care of it big time, and that's what matters. The gun shoots great, no problems. I personally put about a 1000 shots on it everytime I play and figure 50 to 100 of those shots is chrono'ing (dry firing when you lower the pressure to equalize the reg) and when I shoot it down to de-gas it.
In fact, I like guns with some 'miles' on them. Then I know its been broken in and any 'bugs' and such have been worked out and fixed. As they say "It has personality".
BTW - C. Carles can you send me that info (or the link to it), the howtos and stuff. Thanks.
