Turn angel on when charging?

In the manual it says make sure the power switch is in the on position when charging but I don't remember having my power on the first time I charged it and I'm charging it in the same car but I don't get the moving bars whether the power is on or off but the red light on the plug is on.

yes the switch must be in the on position and the LCD must display safe before charging can begin.

Does the car's accessories have to be on to charge it? The red light goes on if the car is off but the LCD screen doesn't say charge.

I just got my angel and wanted to charge it but the gun won't stay on to charge....the red light on the charger is on, the angel won't stay on long enough to charge..

sounds like you're not getting it plugged all the way in...make sure the plug goes all the way into the socket, then it should start charging just fine

Oky I got it in and the LCD flashes from LD V2 then the screen fills then flips to LD V2.......Is that right?
