My LCD display on my A4 has been acting strange. The gun fires fine and all the modes/menus work. Before I try poking around, I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.

Basic chain of events:
-Turn gun on, display stays blank, green led comes on, display is still blank
-Pull trigger and release, lcd display comes on giving normal safe/mode display
-Pull trigger and display goes blank, release and it comes back on (sometimes all characters on screen light up until it goes back to safe/mode)
-Hit red button, led turns red, display goes blank
-Pull trigger and release, gun fires, display comes on with live display
-Pull and release trigger to shoot and display flashes on and off with each pull
-Push and hold red button, led goes green, display goes off, pull and release trigger, display back on
-Press any menu button (including internal) and display goes off, pull and release trigger and display lights up with the menu advanced or selected to whatever the button press should have caused...I can press menu buttons several times to advance through menus but don't get a display until I pull the trigger

So....the gun shoots fine and the menus/modes/settings all work perfect. Any ideas? Not sure if this is an issue with the board itself or just the display. Hoping for a quick fix. Doesn't seem like something worth paying to fix seeing as the gun shoots fine.

Very odd, sounds like a connection problem.

Turn the gun off, and remove the grip frame. At the bottom of the screen to the right there is a clip holding the board. Hold the clip and lift up the the bottom of the screen a little, you should then be able to lift the whole screen out (grab it from the top and bottom at the same time). There is a set of pins in the top right that it plugs into.

Once the board is out simply install it again making sure that its clipped in ok, and try turning the gun on again.

After that the only thing I think it could be is a software thing, and its best to contact a MT or the place you got it (hopefully a MT store).

Thanks for the idea. I removed the display and checked it out. Nothing seemed wrong and there was no change in behavior when I reinstalled it. I live close to an MT so I'll get it checked out when I get a chance.
