Cleaning COPS

yea my cops test wont pass so im trying to clean it. i herd i have to take the grip fram off. if i take that off will i have to reset anything when i put it back together? any other advice would b great thnx.

Don't yank the grip away from the marker, there are wires running from the board to the body. When putting it back together, be careful not to pinch any wires. Especially the cops wire, it runs in a little groove at the top of the frame. A bit of tape would help it stay in place.

I vaguely seem to remember that when you take cops out to clean it and such when you put it back it you should put some grease (not oil) at the bottom of the cops sensor thing.

Yes, you're talking about the sensor that has the yellow strip in it. There should be grease underneath it, to act as a schock absorber. This prevents cops from registering the recoil of the marker as a ball dropping.
