I have been using my speed for 10 months without problem. Then last weekend I got a wall charger converter from my friend cause I want to charge it at home instead in my car. When I plugged it, it seem to works fine (cascading light & everything.) After several hours later it blinks red which should mean its okay.

The next day before I want to play, I couldn't turn on the speed. When I click the switch, the light turn on for 3 seconds then just went dead. Every time I did it the same thing happen. Now, I try to charge it again and nothing happen.. No cascading light or anything!! Even when I try to charge it in the car. I already ordered replacement battery, however is it possible that the Opto board get damaged too?

Please help, anybody... and thanks in advance

seems like you've made the fatal mistake of using the wall adapter and you've damaged something. Likely something as simple as the battery...could be more involved and be the board.

There is always the chance you damaged the overcurrent circuitry in the board. Install your new battery and see what happens.

Well, I already ordered the battery and the board anyway, just for precautions. :lost:

I'm just confused though, my friend's angel were charged with the same wall charger (he got it from Radio Shack) and the input/output voltage is supposed to be ok for a speed. That was why I used it.

Oh well... It's a little bit too late for that. I guess I just wait for the battery and the opto board. Thanks Carles.

By the way... Is there any other stuff that might got damaged besides the battery and board? Just in case.

My pleasure.
The board takes the brunt of the abuse, followed by the battery. It should be isolated to those two components and leave the solenoid unscathed.

Thanks for the info Charles. I was about to buy a wall charge from either IIsports or Radioshack and you gave me the perfect reason not too.

I only charged my angel when i drove which was a hassle because the only way i could charge it was with the key in the ignition. No way i'm losing a car to charge my angel and lose the angel too. My car has been broken into twice already.
